I want to work with Conquer Online first because I actually see potential in it. When you have a strong enough idea like Daybreak, it should be able to fit to almost any game. We'll see though. Maybe I'll make a game later on... but I want to master C++ before I do that. A game made in C# would be shitty.

Any language can make a shitty program, any language can make an awesome program. The language is important, but more important than that is the people who develop with it, and the logic/knowledge they have. Someone who master a language will produce awesome results and probably better than someone who use a powerful language, but badly.

So, a game in C# can be definitely better than one in C++. Use the language you love  Oh, and the games using Microsoft XNA framework on the Xbox 360 use C#.

C++ handles graphics much better than C# from what I've read... or at least it's easier to work with graphics in C++ than C#. If I'm wrong, correct me, I'm by no means a graphics expert (at all).

Honestly, except if you are the conceptor of the graphic engine, you'll never handle graphic. You'll always work with a graphic engine and every language have already some public graphic engine. So, you don't really care...

And for C++ that handles graphics better than C#. The C++ language is more low-level, so basically, seems to be true. But, there is also the point that often your graphic engine call some OS API. In this case, the call is equivalent on both C++/C# engines. (memcpy with C or with C# is equivalent as it call the same DLL) On high graphic request, C++ will probably require less amount of work for the computer.

I've experimented with the XBOX C# library ... but I just don't find much interest in it yet. As I said, we'll see in time. I'd rather use C++ though. Back to Daybreak.... since that's the topic here... not game development.... I just finished the ciphers and my girlfriend convinced me to get livestream. I don't know when I'll use it ever but if I'm doing something that you all can watch, you can expect to see it online here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Speaking of my stream...
Someone left this comment on it:

Cockspert ban: fake and gay
Cockspert ban: You ***, don't name your server AlphaGaming. I've had that server name for over a year now. If you make your server that, or even use it, I will make 3 or 4 servers naming th em all "BurningSkies
The "Alpha" in my logo isn't the name. It's the testing stage.
Software release life cycle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And actually, it should be "Pre-Alpha", so thanks for making me look that up.
I'll change the logo in a bit.

... It's Conquer 1.0. It's Conquer Online's first skin from patches before 4282.

Alright! The base for the server is done!

I finished coding country bans as well as adding a white list. I have it so each login is recorded according to time, date, identity, account id, ip address, and mac address. I have multiple world servers working just in case if I ever want to add an EU or AU server. I have it so if a world server goes down, the account server will notice that and close transfers to that server. I have server and account locking programmed. I re-wrote the DH Key Exchange and Cast Cipher to work with pointers using external C++ libraries... and now I'm ready to work on logging in!

Thanks so much for your patience. You know how hard I work. I'd like to at least give you an estimate of when Burning Skies will come online. I'm hoping to bring it up in September (so I can celebrate Halloween). I have a lot of events planned and quests written, so I hope I can finish it by then. I hope you all have a great Valentines day and I'll update you all soon with my progress. For more up-to-date news about my development, check out my blog (same as before: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]).

Ttyl.
Sincerely,
Spirited Fang.

You always say 'my server is gonna be so epic! different from all other servers!' etc, but you have proven nothing so far.
Alright. I remade my logo after a month and a half of drafting.
How does it look now? (Constructive Criticism would be appreciated).
