Item Manager thread, reloaded

I had the same problem. I started IM but some error came up telling me it can't be run (Win XP / 32), so i tried to delete it and re-download (having to turn of my fire wall and all, which i never had to do b4 with IM) but now i can't even put the file on my desktop, and the error is still the same (telling me it can't be run). If anyone has any advice, i'd appreciate it very much :) Thnx

I also tried downloading it from somewhere else or getting it from a friend on MSN. When I accepted it windows gave me an error "Cannot move file: file cannot be read from source disk." or something like that.
Odd. Try to download from this post attachment.
Does your AV have a resident protection? You might not have turned it off completely. I advise you to add an exception, it's always a more perm solution and doesn't take away your protection.
Restart your pc after doing that.

What is your OS?
Vista/7 32/64B is working. XP doesn't seem to be working atm.

Vista sucks, I wont get 7 because I find really good WIN XP. So I wait for an update.

Thank you very much. I have discovered the problem. It was my anti virus after all. Since I didn't know how to add as an exception I just used task manager to close everything related to Avast. Now I downloaded the IM again and it's working fine on WIN XP so no worries anymore.

I'm glad ^^
You must be the only XP user that got it working though xD
I dunno what the problem seems to be for the others.... :\
They don't say what error they get, if they get Detected.... they just say "Dont work, new version ughdnc" =.=
PS: PPL with XP problems, try to use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]! Maybe it will help, since it renames (again) the IM. (dunno if its still working, though.)

Another way to have less chance of being caught using the IM is to try and get normal skinned weapons and clothes. You look a lot less suspicious if your weapons look like pen ones to other people.

lol my antivirus say Trojan

@ PPl making exceptions in AV.
You might need to add the following paths too:
C:\Windows\system32
C:\Windows\temp
Since the IM is making copies to those locations, and those copies are being detected too by your AVs.
(Personally, I don't feel it's reasonable to have this directories in the exceptions. Maybe Nya can find other locations less virus-prone to replicate the IM?)
