To get all the old players back, and to get new players. Alot of people left because of boredom. (I did aswell). If you did a wipe, i would 100% come back.

personally i liked a forgetten world system more then hunting uniques, so maybe make the tears drop in forgetten world ? this also requires players to stop botting. greetz Madara

Yea, my friends and I just started, and server seems stable, no lag, but playing with npc gears blows monkey balls. You should make auto equipment at least vanilla sos for auto equipment. NPC gear +1 just doesn't cut it with the hundreds of elite monsters waiting all around tiger mountain. Pure int doesn't stand a chance at all. 2 of my friends quit before they even reached lvl 18, and I can tell already this is going to be a long painful process leveling.

Also with 1 silk per hour, which doesnt seem to work BTW, don't be so cheap with your startup items, put in some instant return scrolls, or at LEAST 20 begginner return scrolls, maybe 3 day devil skill, etc. We had to shut off auto potion, just so we could die, and return to base for the npc auto equipment. Then had to buy return scrolls from npc. Its the first time since Isro I had to do that, and thats not a good thing.

People like myself, don't mind donating to a server if I feel like its worth it, and sorry to say, this server doesn't cut it in its present state, just my 2 cents. Gl with the server

Try do to something about botters: we should just bot to get our stuff fb +5 etc and then stop it forever.
If botting is useless after getting our stuff FB/char FF lv 100 then there will be more ppl jobing/pvp-ing and having fun together.

But now the thing is that people are still botting 24/7 because they wan't to get soulless items to be the best on the server... So except alchemy and botting all day they are doing nothing.

So try to make sure that botting is useless after some time and give rewards for jobing/unique hunting etc..

Of course this is my own opinion and you may not agree with me but I think that we must do something about botting first for an active server :)

Botting will give noone Soulless Items cause you need to go CTF; Jobbing; Uniques..

Still no one pvp/job or they just bot at dw cave.. and an active server mean pvp/job war 24/7 not one time each 24 hours.. :/

Dear GM,

I would like to suggest some ideas that could make the server more active. I do not know if you and your team could possibly incorporate theses ideas into the game, yet I will nevertheless propose them.

When server opened, during the first day, every unique that I killed, used to drop 5 or 6 glasses of tears. Right now, some uniques drop 5, some 3, some 1, and some drop 0 glasses of tears! In my opinion, this discourages and annoys some of the players to continue the game after all the time spent searching for uniques. Consequently, I would suggest as follows:

1) If possible, making every single unique drop 5 glasses of tears. This way, a player will have a goal (kill 20 uniques to get 100 glasses).

2) Increasing the spawn rate of the uniques. For instance, isy and other uniques appears every 3 hours let's say. Why not make them appear every 30 minutes or every hour? This would get chance for everyone to collect glasses a little faster. Because with the current rate, one needs to kill uniques 20 hours a day (like me) with no sleep, rest, etc and still get 20-30 glass of tears depending on other players ksing, etc and also one unique dropping 0 or 2 tears, Thus, making point 1) above would satisfy some of the players.

3) I have been thinking and came up with this idea. What if you could make fortress war every 2 days like Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. In addition, reward the guild that occupies the fortress or defends it, with 10 glasses of tears for each player after a victory. I think with this system, more players will join and have fun.

The reason why I suggest these ideas is that I assume that some of the current silkroad population is simply not used to old school, farming stuff for long time, having patience. Some kids want shit fast in 1 day, full krall +12. So they join the server and see that it will take them 1 month+ to reach end gear. After I rape them in 1 nuke with 50k damage, they simply give up and quit.

I truly wish for this server a long, prosperous road. When it opened first day, I saw many players with premiums and devil spirits including me. That means people donated and hoped that server will be long-term. Right now, I do not see any lags, server is perfect. Please do not let it destroy itself. Improvise a bit. Lazy kids want stuff fast, well make it happen ( go to points 1,2,3). Oldschool pros like me will still rape them even if everyone is full som. Because it's not about the item, it's about how you pimp the item, use skill (coordination, clicking mouse in half a second, skills, switching etc) and pro knowledge that makes a player.

I hope that you will consider at my invitations of points 1, 2, 3 indicated above. Do not let the server die. I envision this server as Isro 100 lvl cap in terms of stability, lag-free and other stuff.

Hi there, i m mainly posting to congratz Maggo, i m sure this gameplay is the best way to play silkroad, and i m even 100% sure, that if isro would have do the same, ppl would have come back and played a lot more.

Nevertheless, i want to share my point of view :

1)I hadn't any pbms to lvling, but i can hear the idea of being tired to meet some elite OSing you all the time.
2)Demon Shaitan is way too hard to find, the area is too large.
3) In general, the random system is not a bad idea but elite are spawning everywhere, and when they are not killed, they kill the players with a lower lvl.
4) The ctf system is ennoying when there not enough ppl to play it, so i ve stopped grinding many times to jon it, but once i get there, it s cancelled.
5) The first time i ve killed an unique, i got 8 tears, i was optimistic, recently, i ve killed 4 uniques, and got 0 tears, this is more than boring, it discourage you to play.
(150 tears, 0 tears/uniques ... do the math :) )

Ideas/Solutions

1)If the main goal of the server is to make players playing and being more active,
why not reward ppl by making them drop soulless on uniques,
2) and let the tears and other stuff for the ctf or only for the job (and then, you can even reduce the trade rate)
3) If the ctf is not enough, maybe plan it to switch to aren mode (2v2 3v3)
4)If you didn"t find thoses ideas good, then just make an average rate of drop on uniques
5) reduce the spawning area of DS ! :-)
6) If elite drops tears, the won't be any elite left to disturb the playing of new players

Good luck, and be sure that some ppl really apreciate your work.

PS : if you ever going to be tired, prevent the players then the wont be fooled by buying silks for nothing, but i m sure you won't shut down it before many years :P
