I didn't want to block it on Balmung, but the money was nice, and this sole supporter is the only reason why, most of you, get to use ACME free of charge.
As much as I'd like to say that I can live out of good actions... that's not how the world works. I got a family to feed. And I've reached a point where I'm no longer looking forward to continuing the support of ACME for the general public.
From this point forward I'm going to be providing support for those that donate to continue with its development (those that already donated will continue to get updates). I'll dedicate myself to do a full rewrite to improve several features down the road and make something that is even better. As my living situation is not great, I do want to make something out of this continuous investment of time that I've worked for the past 2.5 years.
Sadly, I'd like to say that I can stop people from going through my code dissecting it and implementing it on their own. But I can't. If anything, developer to developer, I'd like to ask you not to do it, as I've worked hard for it and I need the money.
Shortly I'll come back with some proper way to support the development of ACME. For now, I can't do more than take it down from public access until I've done so.
Thank you all for your understanding, and please look forward to the great things that I want to bring into ACME.

This is not a decision that the XIV community wants to hear, but I fully support the decision and think it's absolutely what you should be doing. I've been using your bot since 3.0, and it's been a major help to me in leveling my crafters, gearing them, and making a profit despite the harsh entry fees required to get into endgame crafting. The fact that the bot could perform its own rotation as opposed to every other 'paid' bot requiring you put in a macro for a rotation blew my mind, and made me never want to use another bot for this game again.
All the way till now, I've been cheering you on, and the fact that you got a donater to help keep the bot available for everyone, for free, is something I think you deserve more of. The amount of work put into this bot over almost all others I see for games of this kind deserves compensation, and for someone to absolutely spit all over that because of entitlement is dreadful. So I'm glad to see you making the shift to paid support, and it's definitely in my interest to see you get the compensation you deserve, even if it means free users like myself can no longer use it.
I hope that any increase in income you get out of it can be used to help your own living situation, you deserve it.

I hope you fully understand the consequences of your actions here. There's no such thing as a 'free lunch', the free bot that the FFXIV community gets comes out of Acme's time, and hard work, time that he's not asking any of us to pay a cent for. In order for him to sustain himself, he's had the gracious help of donaters that have ensured that he can make a product like this that we all get for free. Clearly you agree with it, as you wouldn't go through this trouble for a bot that isn't worth the time and effort.
But understand that this sole donater is providing him with the money to live right now. This donater's request, unfair as you might think it is, is why the community gets the bot in the first place. Either we get the free bot for every server but Balmung, or nobody gets the bot. There's no third option here, because even if you figure out how to unlock the server, once the game is updated, the bot stops working, and that's that. Maybe you have the coding know how to keep the bot updated yourself. And if so, that's great for you! But if you don't, your entitlement over this entire thing not only hurt the ENTIRE community, but it hurts you as well. You're now a victim of your own entitlement.
Either way, I don't honestly believe that by doing this, you have an ounce of respect for Acme, cause if you do, you'll realize that Acme doesn't get to live off of 'respect'. He needs the money. And with his choice to go paid, he's going to get that money. In a way, you just helped him out, so out of respect for him, I have to say thank you. Though you did dick over an incredibly large amount of people, so you might consider apologizing to all the people you hurt because you only gave a shit about yourself.
tl;dr: You fucked someone over with your entitlement. The community is now fucked cause of what you did. I hope it was worth it for the few months of bot you get before an update breaks it.
