And btw, much appreciated for your hard work ACME
I think by sunday I should have it done - patch didnt change a lot of things, I just want to fix retainer inv pulling for dx9 before that.

I don't think anyone who has donated actually played on Balmung, if they did I'd have no issues refunding them.

For other crafting bots you can get:
Miqobot - monthly sub.
Lisbeth - a rebornbuddy plugin (one time payment).

I've never used either so can't tell you which one is nicer, Miqobot is DX11 mainly afaik, Rebornbuddy is mostly DX9.

I added some disclaimer on top and bottom, good suggestion.

Thanks for the quick update Acme. Just tested a few synths on 3.45 in DX9 mode and it works perfectly. Happily waiting for the DX11 update.

His bot, his rules.

Go write your own bot then you can make your own rules.

He's clearly stating he's not going to make it available for that server, so you have 2 choices: keep complaining (and get reported cause you're just being a pain in the ass) or go look for another bot that works on your server.
Or even better get good and craft manually and learn your lessons from the mistakes you make.
Last option is you can go on a real server instead of the erpderp server!

Ok, since we're dealing with a troll, let's troll-answer...

Noone gave you an option 3.
ACME scripted the bot. ACME used his time, knowledge and efforts on it. ACME released his work as a free-for-all-to-use product. ACME decides where his product can be used. It's simple to understand, but i've got doubts you'll be able to understand that.

p.s: i don`t have to get good at crafting
The answer lies in the second part of the message where you claim there are websites calculating the rotation based on your stats. IF you were any good at crafting you'd know that there's no sure 100% especially if you want to craft lvl 60 3-4 stars from 0 starting quality.

but still have to click crafting window and one button macro
LOL1buttonmacro.
So you have a one button macro for 3-4 stars lvl 60 items?
How does it feels to lie so baldly?

( i got over 1200 spruce lumber i need to click alot so no )
Spruce lumbers...
Can't even remember when i was crafting those...

So wait... are you whining about THOSE crafts?

That's SO lame... If you need to complain and whine about something, at least do it for something worth your whining and complaints...

So, you give 0 fucks about what the author wants and you just go ahead and do things your way? Cool!

I hope that he doesn't update this anymore so that you have to do all the updating after the patches on your own.

i do "respect" the author otherwise you would see a new topic here "Free working crafting bot works on all servers even on Balmung" and all over the internet :)

BUT you don`t and won`t see that from me !

p.s if u imagine i`m the only one that did this you are dead wrong ;)

Gocata, have you ever thought about asking ACME nicely to see if they'll make an exception for you and unlock it?
11/03/2016 12:12 AcmeCrafting#701
I don't want to be melodramatic; however, this kind of attitude just kills my passion for continuing to provide support free of charge for something that has become less of a hobby and more of a job. I'm quite aware that some people were going to be able to bypass my very simple server check, which wasn't even implemented in DX11. I didn't want to block it on Balmung, but the money was nice, and this sole supporter is the only reason why, most of you, get to use ACME free of charge.

As much as I'd like to say that I can live out of good actions... that's not how the world works. I got a family to feed. And I've reached a point where I'm no longer looking forward to continuing the support of ACME for the general public.

From this point forward I'm going to be providing support for those that donate to continue with its development (those that already donated will continue to get updates). I'll dedicate myself to do a full rewrite to improve several features down the road and make something that is even better. As my living situation is not great, I do want to make something out of this continuous investment of time that I've worked for the past 2.5 years.

Sadly, I'd like to say that I can stop people from going through my code dissecting it and implementing it on their own. But I can't. If anything, developer to developer, I'd like to ask you not to do it, as I've worked hard for it and I need the money.

Shortly I'll come back with some proper way to support the development of ACME. For now, I can't do more than take it down from public access until I've done so.

Thank you all for your understanding, and please look forward to the great things that I want to bring into ACME.

That was tough to watch. Much respect and best regards Acme.

This is not a decision that the XIV community wants to hear, but I fully support the decision and think it's absolutely what you should be doing. I've been using your bot since 3.0, and it's been a major help to me in leveling my crafters, gearing them, and making a profit despite the harsh entry fees required to get into endgame crafting. The fact that the bot could perform its own rotation as opposed to every other 'paid' bot requiring you put in a macro for a rotation blew my mind, and made me never want to use another bot for this game again.

All the way till now, I've been cheering you on, and the fact that you got a donater to help keep the bot available for everyone, for free, is something I think you deserve more of. The amount of work put into this bot over almost all others I see for games of this kind deserves compensation, and for someone to absolutely spit all over that because of entitlement is dreadful. So I'm glad to see you making the shift to paid support, and it's definitely in my interest to see you get the compensation you deserve, even if it means free users like myself can no longer use it.

I hope that any increase in income you get out of it can be used to help your own living situation, you deserve it.

I hope you fully understand the consequences of your actions here. There's no such thing as a 'free lunch', the free bot that the FFXIV community gets comes out of Acme's time, and hard work, time that he's not asking any of us to pay a cent for. In order for him to sustain himself, he's had the gracious help of donaters that have ensured that he can make a product like this that we all get for free. Clearly you agree with it, as you wouldn't go through this trouble for a bot that isn't worth the time and effort.

But understand that this sole donater is providing him with the money to live right now. This donater's request, unfair as you might think it is, is why the community gets the bot in the first place. Either we get the free bot for every server but Balmung, or nobody gets the bot. There's no third option here, because even if you figure out how to unlock the server, once the game is updated, the bot stops working, and that's that. Maybe you have the coding know how to keep the bot updated yourself. And if so, that's great for you! But if you don't, your entitlement over this entire thing not only hurt the ENTIRE community, but it hurts you as well. You're now a victim of your own entitlement.

Either way, I don't honestly believe that by doing this, you have an ounce of respect for Acme, cause if you do, you'll realize that Acme doesn't get to live off of 'respect'. He needs the money. And with his choice to go paid, he's going to get that money. In a way, you just helped him out, so out of respect for him, I have to say thank you. Though you did dick over an incredibly large amount of people, so you might consider apologizing to all the people you hurt because you only gave a shit about yourself.

tl;dr: You fucked someone over with your entitlement. The community is now fucked cause of what you did. I hope it was worth it for the few months of bot you get before an update breaks it.
11/03/2016 14:56 F4Bz#704
Full support on ACME's decision here.
I'm more than willingly going to pay for something i'm using THIS much (to keep up with crafts when i'm not busy otherwise or i'm dealing with IRL stuff).

Regarding this Gocata kid... well played asshole.
You just fucked up thousands of low budget players around the world because your server wasn't listed as bot available. You needed those 20 seconds (yeah, don't think anyone got impressed at what you did) of fame by showing you could re-engineer the code to find that "sekr1tfile" so much?
You're SO stupid you didn't realize you're not going to have a big advantage now as lowbies with no real skills in crafting won't be able to actively craft like they used to, meaning materials are going to be a lot cheaper, and if they can't make money they can't spend money on what you craft.
You screwed yourself up, screwing an entire community in the process.

That said, ACME let us know if you're going to get a site or something and when you're planning to start releasing it with paid support (i guess with a login check\account).

I am behind Acme 100% on this as much as it saddens me to see. Being on a tight budget this program has helped me immensely and I wish Acme the best in the future.
