Will the SOM Reinforce rate ever be boosted like it was in 9D?

It's kind of dumb that all of the work we did for SOM garms is basically useless, because SOE is pretty much just as good now.

Here's my opinion, as I've been here since week 1:


It's a good, mostly lag free server, with active players. Job is very active, but favors traders a little too much. It costs way too much money to be a thief.

There are new types of SOX items. SOM is the highest, and can only be obtained by jobbing, and is character bound (cannot be stored). This was a good thing until 10D cap was released. Prior to expansion, SOM was 2 levels higher than next best SOX item and had higher reinforce. Now, SOM is only 1 level higher, and has the same reinforce. Therefore, there is literally no need to job to get gear, and the system does not really reward those who have worked for their gear.


Break-down of SOX items in Electus:

SOS = Last tier +1
SOA = Last tier +2
SOL = Last tier +2.7
SOE = Last tier +3.5
SOM = Last tier +4.5
SOM Weapon = Last tier +5.5

Basically, you only need to join one of the many large trade caravans that go on every day. Do that until you have enough gold and job coins to buy SOM weapon. From there, you can either farm gold for SOE gear, or sell silk and buy SOE gear.


Reinforce rates need to be upped for SOM gear. Guys with SOE can easily tank SOM +10. It's really broken.

His point is - a level 94 shield is better than a SOL, hell. 94 shield has better stats than SOM. Seems this error has gone unnoticed so far.

Also, SOM reinforces for weapons and gear need to go up. They shouldnt be the same as regular items !
