hmm not sure andy123 but anyhow thanks t3hn00bz0r for the complment and all but right now guys i might have worked out a flaw to wehre 2+ppl will crash yur sever might not sure once i test it later i will elet u guys no thanks to help from ecnoderm gave me a tip on how to fix it kinda with all of his it cant be fixed u ahve to rewrite it all maby i think i got osmething here but i will post tommorow on it got to eat and work some more lol laters

andyd123, can you post what line this error is occuring on and what the variables that the line works with are at runtime?

See thats the problem. It gives no line, nothing. Just cites the Auth Server as the cause. Other than that, I have no idea.

I remember that someone posted a script for teleporting when a character was coming to a certain place in a map...i could need that script for NPC's (detecting if a player is around and then sending him the packet to spawn the NPC again). If he could get it back that would be helpful (but i damn need to recover my VS2005 CD ^^)

Hmm, and then with a completely fresh copy of the server, (the orig. from the first post), my client connects, it intentionally drops him (after auth), and it wont reconnect.
This is odd, I think it might be with my client. I will have to look and see.
Also, Hybris, instead of the cd, simply download C# Express, its all of VB in C#, and its free.
Finally, I dont remember that, but I do think that might work! Soon as I get past my current problem, I will move on to working on NPCs again.

k. ive been lookin at code tryin to figure out new packet that came with patch and ive found out a few things.
1. it goes through auth fine.
2. it connects to game server fine
3. by addin a check for the packet in COClient and sending the packet straight back (i.e ping command) it logs in and you get this.(see attachment)
after click a few buttons i noticed everything is workin but the main background does not refresh. if anyone could give me a hand with workin out what to send back i would be very grateful.
the packet is

That would not work, shmoogle.
It is not just the login packet that has cahanged, it literally over 50% of the packets that have changed. So, you will have to edit lots of them

EDIT: I found something interesting, like items wich can be seen by both sides or atleast 2 clients. And progress with NPC's get on...
So i'am keep working, when i have my free time =]

Yes, Ideo and I are sorta working on it now. He is far better than me, but I am telling him everything I have found, which isnt much. Lol.
Anyhow, ill let you all know if I suddenly find something good.

What do you mean? Are you trying to say "Did it work for somebody with NPCs or somthing" because if that is what you mean, I dont even need to explain as to why you should just leave now.
However, if you have some other point to your question, then please explain that.

lol i am back for a bit got nothing new to add yet lol but looks like you ppl been postin .... Ideo i will be workin on a few flaws and all one of them i am working on is when a player oter than yur self goes off screen when he comes bak yiou cant see him i am workin on fixing that so will post tommorow on that kk later

Actually, prince, you can, just sometimes because of how it is coded, it glitches. After implementing more stuff and fixing high-priotity bugs, Ill work on that too.
