I've 99% finished making the HAT values reflect the actual performance of the car.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] thread from 2013 with Gigaxero's performance test routine and results was a goldmine.

Some values are missing or marked in red font as invalid.

Go ahead and take a look - once I have filled the missing stuff (Lotus Cortina, looking at you!), I'll probably make a attributes.bin which gives the cars consistent HAT values.

I think you'll like the old HAT vs. new HAT comparison. 33 cars changed class (most to a lower one) as a result.
The prize for most overrated car goes to BMW M6 (both variants), the prize for most underrated car - to Lotus Exige.

Dude!! That is awsome work. Nice comparisons too. It will be cool to have the actual car class values stay constant in the game(and stay the same when tuned or not) :) thanks again all who make this all a reality!

The chart is for stock cars. And I wouldn't have been able to do it without Gigaxero's work.

Tuning will work exactly the same way as before, so no values staying the same whether tuned or not.

There is no way to directly connect the HAT values (they are just numbers) to performance, so if someone modifies e.g. Viper's handling performance (ride height, sway bars, handling factor etc.) the values will no longer reflect its performance.

P.S. I'm a girl :)

Does this mean that once implied into the game, the cars (When Stock) will actually be comparable to each others actual performance based on the HAT and be accurate?

I really wish you could record even a few mins of yourself using the tools to modify the attributes.bin and upload to YT or such, because I have no idea how to use the GlobalEd tool.

If I could see someone using it, then I should be then able to understand it enough to then learn how to use it myself.
Please consider doing it.

I thought I would drop the question here as well. In my basket folder of v1.7 beta I have 539 files are these car files? I ask because in the dealer I have 372 cars I can purchase? Just curious or am I missing some cars? Thanks for any help or answers!

Those are the dealer cars settings files, such its paint, vinyls, skill slots.
Right click one of them then click edit and you will see.
It is not the only place though, as in the games data folder is also a car folder for them as well.

If you check this very thread, someone posted a replacement basket folder.
You change yours with the one you will download, and all the cars will then have 6 skill slots instead of 5.
The download will contain a catalog folder at which you have to add those into your catalog folder as well.

If you wish, I can tell you how to add the 6th skill slot to your owned cars too.

I checked, Bambiee list has 541 and does not have the 6th skill slot
That other one has 540 and does have the 6th skill slot
This is because there is an extra file Bambieee shared, which is for a car we do not have the needed files that go into the game folder though, if I am not mistaken.
It is titled "empty" and is a car, but as I said, it is a car we know existed at one time, but was removed from the game folder during a game update and the needed files are gone forever now.

Oh yah, if you do switch them out, while they are in the dealer, it appears as if they only have 5 skill slots, but when you buy a car and then check, it will have 6.

So its 540 cars, 370ish models, meaning that there are some of the same cars, but different Editions

Yes I am using the one from Bambieee. I found in the server files editor for the cars I can add the 6th there is I needed or wanted. I am curious is all about the total cars. Thanks for the info gamermca.

I am slowly exploring each of the xml to see whats in it so if at some time I need to fix or add something, like the TE I like to run using the stadiums and overlook. I do read a lot her in the forum but sometimes it can get a little confusing when there are many post similar but different.

No problem.
I wanted to know if the list I got(with the 6th skill slot) had all the cars, and now I know that it does.

Well, all you have to do is change this and each file
<SkillModSlotCount>5</SkillModSlotCount>
To become
<SkillModSlotCount>6</SkillModSlotCount>

same with your owned cars.
In the personas folder, in each folder 100 200 300, are your profiles, you have to edit each file in all them, that has that code.
I didn't do the 200 and 300 profile, as it only has one car and not using it anyway.
Its no big deal to do it, just in wordpad do the find replace all method.
Warning though, if you have a bunch of cars in your profile, it may freeze before opening and freeze while it edits, but then its win.

Ok now I see what cars were not in the dealer before, all the boost versions of the cars. Now they are there with the all car you mentioned about. I guess that will be the missing 160 or so cars. Maybe now I can get that Toyota Supra Drag car I have not been able to purchase, the only car I could not buy! I will see.

You're most welcome, I think messing with the files, is more fun than playing the game.
I have downloaded just about every thing I come across, but have not added it all in though, only messed with the extra skill slot thing.

Beta 1.8 will be out soon and Berkay is doing the coding, and may not add in everything possible and just let us do that ourselves, so I don't want to add all the stuff, then have to readd it all again.

If he doesn't add the 6th skill cars in dealer, its a simple one copy/paste and done for us.
Same with our profiles.

Once beta 1.8 is out, I will then go nuts and add in every available goodie possible and begin to start playing for real and designing stuff.

You do know about the "all performance parts in shop file"?
That I also added in, and my MR2 is a beast now.

Whats super nice about this all, is it seems everyone has their thing to be tweaking, some doing rims, some doing particles, some doing other things and as far as I can tell, not a stone has been left unturned.
So since I fail at the really hard stuff, I help out here when I can.

Man, if most of the people, specially Berkay, was the Dev team for the game, perhaps it wouldn't have shut down?

Oh yah, funny stuff, there is a thread in the EA forums about the offline server, and some guy posted his modified Ford I believe, and telling everyone how he modified the A/M parts on it.

Perhaps, that is why Jussi unlocked everything, because if he would not have, we wouldn't have some of the stuff now, such as the Elite Parts?

I believe some random no-body posted the much needed files to make the whole thing possible because it went from...Never going to happen to....OMFG!!!
