Redux v2 - Official 5065 Classic Source

This is my current problem, everything ran perfect, the SQL, account creation, but when I run debug, it goes to this problem.

you have to run it firstly from debug folder and config it .then should be no more problems

See database name , it must be redux, not other name...that's the error you get

i do have it as redux

then it must be because it showed errors on executing the sql.

i've redone all the steps, re-ran everything, re-exected SQL file, re-created and account, re-ran source, reconfiged setting, and i still get an unknown database error...

there were no errors when executing the SQL also, everything ran perfectly until i ran the source

It can be any name you wish. Just make sure the settings you put in for your mysql installation match the settings you put in the redux config panel and you're good to go.

@Hikaru: We mentioned in the previous thread that this boils down to you simply having put in incorrect information.

Have you followed all the steps of the install guide fully? You've installed and configured a full version of mysql AND run the database backup without having any errors?

Make sure that those steps are all followed before you try to do anything else. Once that is done then you can worry about running the redux project and filling in the fields with accurate information.



That error is literally saying "hey- we couldn't connect to mysql using the information you gave us". That means either mysql is not running properly or the information you provided is not accurate.

All the information is correct, I double checked everything, twice. I ran the backup with no problems, ran perfectly.

So about the mysql thing, mine does say something about missing elements or what not, it said something like this...

"High Severity Error - root element missing" followed by another high severity error that displays "Log file path must be defined before calling the WriteToLog method"

Now if that's the case of not letting me run the source, then I don't know how to fix this, yet.

I'll try another full reinstallation of MySQL. If you have an answer for the high severity error, please tell me, it would really help.

Never heard of that error before. Is it popping up inside visual studio?


I believe someone reported that the most recent version of visual studio is not yet compatible (or at least has issues) with mysql.

I'd suggest installing a copy of visual studio 2012 and seeing if that fixed your problem.

No, it pops up when I start MySQL, I think it may have a connection to my errors, I don't know, but it pops up only on MySQL when I start it up.

Then the issue is clearly with MySQL.

You need to uninstall all instances of MySQL. Make sure you remove any services too.
Then after a reboot install the full version of MySQL. I think I use version 5.1 but I am not 100%.

Now once that is done, you need to open navicat or workbench and make sure the connection info you use to connect to the database is the same as your config files since clearly the connection works.

It doesn't require to be "redux", you can use any database name you prefer.

As for visual studio, no issue when using 2013 ultimate. Not so sure about the other versions.

Phoenix cannot be used with backsword - Fixed
Low level players can attake the tg stakes higher lvl than them - Fixed
Revive here does not "revive you here" - Fixed
Cannot use exp balls after lvl 130 - Fixed
Monster kills not increasing XP - Fixed
Cyclone/superman show the count on ur screen but not on top of your head - Fixed
cyclone/superman are ininitely useable if you keep killing - Fixed
as long as cyclone/superman is being used u cannot gain more xp count - Fixed

@Zuzu who reported that copper guards didnt attack birdmen. What did you do exactly? What were you attacking with?

I was having an spear low level also that gold was doing same but also i noticed i have lag when monsters appear on screen must be from window 8 i think.Also i have posted few pages back about some weapons skills that hit only 1 damage to monsters.
