Probably your antivirus is considering that a virus or something like that. So he is blocking the file or sending it to the quarentene.

So, you have to do this:

1. Disable your antivirus.
2. Download Pk2Tools again and extract it (rar file)
3. Try to patch the media pk2 like on the video (still with antivirus disabled)
4. After patching you can enable your antivirus again.

Also I recommend you to insert the iBot folder on the antivirus ignore / exclude list... so he will not block the file anymore.

Okay, so again... I have now read through all 64 pages of this thread. I have made sure i installed all nessecary files. I have windows xp 32bit. So for all i have chosen the x86. Downloaded newest version of java. Changed the version number in the version.ini folder. I have turned off my antivirus. Media patcher ran smoothly with no errors. I run the SRO (since i play isro) hackshield. The loader pops up, i press start. Everything goes away, thinking its all good, then i get the middle picture and it sits there...and sits there....

Please any help or ideas would be appreciated.

The first time i installed the ocx file i may have installed the x64 instead of the x84, could that be a problem? and if so how do i remove the items, regedit?

The network file i already had installed so i did repair? could that have been bad?

You get the "infinite" SRO screen when trying to run HS Server? Or when using edxloader to run iBot + Client?

Well I saw more people talking about this problem, some people say its edxloader problem... maybe joymax increased the security against it

I have even tried "jumping the gun" and did the next few steps after many failures, but when i start bot it says server busy. Which is logical since i have not even logged into the game yet.
No i have not gotten any further than the infinte sro screen.
The furthest i get on the msdos screen of the hackshield is "silkroad launcher is now ready".

So you cant even use clientless bot? Since your HS Server doesnt open.

If you stuck at the SRO "loading image", that probably is something with the patch on the media.pk2.

Try to patch it manually. Before you ask me, there is a video on the main thread teaching that, and the Pk2 Tools download link is on the description of that video (in YouTube)

So even though when I patched the files with media patcher it may not have patched properly, even though it said it was patched successfully? I will try in about 3 hours and respond back again then... When it works!! <---Optimism :}

Yes It may be a problem of the patcher, wrong configurations maybe... We are just trying ! I dont have sure!

Btw, what sro do you play? Thats an important thing to know

I play the standard silkroad, so i do believe that to be iSRO.
Well I manually patched it with pk2tools, followed the video.
And now, it still does not work, the notice screen is blank on the loader.
Where it would say something about server updates and stuff, its just empty.
I deleted the copy of silkroad that i am altering, and started over again, copying the files over from the "good" copy of sro and started from scratch, copied over all files, but still nothing.
I guess my optimism was in vain. :{

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but for some reason I am unable to receive windows updates. TDSSkiller found nothing, same with malwarebytes. Working on the online trouble shooter. After I fix this problem I will try again. Thank you Luigi for helping me out on this so far.

where can i get that pk2 tool? and about the dc, I still get a dc I can't get in the game..

Hello, it isn't working at me, cause when i start (Click launch on edxlauder its saying 'dissconnected from server' I saw it can be because the login is wrong, but i cant select a server! and im sure my log in is correct
