Dear Daichians.
I'm deeply sorry for having to bring bad news to you all..
Daichi had a lot of potential, as everyone has seen and noticed since the very beginning. However, that potential was mainly due to the features, not the concept itself which obviously was not what players nowadays expect on a private server.
We've given up on this project not because players left, neither because we got demotivated (yes, we got a little bit demotivated honestly, but we were back on our track shortly after).
We had plenty more ideas in our bucket and also started to consider changing certain aspects to make this game more enjoyable for everyone.
These changes would have come gradually throughout October to see the player's reactions to them and perhaps even see a gradual increase in the server population again.
However, not all nice things last forever...
There is mainly 1 reason why I have given up (Yes, you read well: Me) but I'm not going to explain what's exactly going on here as they are mainly personal related but, just to give you an idea:
- Team related issues have arisen lately which cannot be ignored. Things pile up over time and it sometimes reaches a point where You just need to put an end to it.
Each of the Admins had a specific role within this Project. Mine was to maintain the server infrastructure, implement new features on the back-end (server/client) and all technical-related things one can think of.
As a consequence, well.. Quite sure everyone can imagine the Team's opinion on me leaving (they weren't happy) and since I'm not going to back down on my word, they gave up as well.
There are more things I'd like to say, but they are just personal-related things which aren't really of any interest for any of you.
Last thing I'd like to say:
- Average Player Count in last 24 hours => ~300
- Today's highest daily online player count => 118
These are the real numbers.
Well, quite sure I'm the one in the bad light now in everyone's eyes but when things can't be helped, they just can't. :)
Daichi is officially over.
I, in the name of the Team (for what actually remained of it), apologize to all broken hopes.
Good Luck and have fun on other, more entertaining projects.
Sincerely,
Shinigami / The Daichi Team
P.S.: Thanks for making me do this alone wink (You know who I'm talking to)
