i think that there are those people who try to confuse us so that we wont get it.. i have a theory that the packet that only appears in a success is not the packet for the upgrade but rather the FIREWORKS and the "congratulations" that pops out during the upgrade. now if you concentrate on the other packets and not be confused maybe we might really get it this time.

if send packet must we edit two of those packet? or just edit one of them?

hey hey hey hey hey, dudz.. why dont we coppy the packets w/ godhand? its just my conclusion, maybe if your in an official server use the packets that has godhand so you can get 100% upgrade, please press thanks if i'd help,.,,

its true i tested it more than 20 times only changing the positon... i got something but when i reconnect ->

how can you change the code you got?
1) reconnect
2) Talic Type= 10° offset
look in the first it was 66 after i reconnect i changed to 32 =\....
3) Talic Position
4) Upgrade dont Change( i dont got anything different )
and anothers things, look if you reconnect EVERYTHING Change

if the first space in the 1bag is 30
when you reconnect its changes to anothers things like 5A 20 80 etc.... =\...


i got a pants +4 with guard how? i tryed this:

I tryed to put +1 using T4 ( i got )
now i only changed the positon of t1 and t4 in bag and in the Upgrader its worked here if someone say that dont work(if says "Impossible to Upgrade, no Stones etc..) so my client/wpe/pc have special power --'....

and now try to sent the FIRST CODE of the success of +1 using t4(dont chage anything in the code) only in the GAME!

try this if you dont got success i will try more 20 times to change my idea!


HINT: if you got something DONT RECONNECT !!! upgrade all yours items everything only changing the talic(in code and in position at bag)

if you reconnect(Change Char) you will loose the codes.

not only restart the game, just relog or changing map location u'll see different byte in each offset, except "length of packet", "packet ID", "amount of gem"

but he said by using t1 w/ the code of t5, its still possible, lol!

well i just did something unusual,

i tried to keep as much as this code from a previous post getting +1-7 in gods hands

and my talic all wiped. funny thing is i was going for a +2 on an intense weap, this slot should have been a safe slot.

To dispel this myth once and forever, it is impossible to modify your outgoing packets to get a 100% success rate.

After analyzing tons of packets i can assure you that the 21 00 package is the one sending the upgrade request to the server. The 14 00 package is the ping pong response of your client, which when resend will cause a bad packet failure disconnect, because of the incorrect encryption key used. The 21 00 package contains several values such as information about the gems/talics you use and the item you want to upgrade. This information is more or less useless on newer versions, because the server already gets information about what you put in the upgrader before you click the upgrade button, thus giving you different failure messages and bad upgrade request log entries in the server log, making it possible for a gm to spot anyone fiddling around with the upgrade packets. On older versions you still need the required upgrade materials in your inventory and they will be used, no matter what other stuff you put into the upgrader. Neither success chance, nor upgrade materials nor the upgraded item can be altered or faked.

To confirm my conclussions on the update process i talked to several of my older friends involved in game hacks (like the popular ogc for half life and mods) and they aswell looked into it on a private test server and came to the same results. On top of that i got myself a copy of an older rfo server source code and checked the functions responsible for upgrading. It is quite safe to assume that they did not move the upgrade calculations to the client side on later versions.

The validation of your used upgrade materials and the item to upgrade, aswell as the calculation of your success rate and the calculation of the final upgrade result are in the server code. There is no way you can change the result by editing your packets. It might be possible using sql injection methods, but packet modification will have no results in the best case, and a ban in the worst case.

For those who got it working, they are either playing on a probably very old or modified (private) version of rfo, or had a lucky streak on the upgrade process and wrongly assumed they had a 100% upgrade chance.
