Yes they do dissapear, but if u decrypt the itemtype.dat file, you should be able to drop it without having it disappear.. u have to change the 3 to 0. Its a trick to trade quest items amongst players. If you want further detail, you should check hellrazer's post at

Yeah 100% sure it works used to do it with my buddy all the time. Cannot confirm healthwines but the mb tactic tokens will work like that.
