oho. now i'm kinda stunned :D
so there are different server files..
grml. well. nothing to do with these useless files then.

from where's that screenshot by the way?

--edit--

hold on.. that's just an add-on which checks the availability of the servers.
so the files could still be the same ones.

Well. What about the fact that the files we have, contain euro? ;)
The files ecsro had (or all other servers HAVE) are running on old version of sro. So the core of the servers is the same yes. But lets not forget that everything is modified :)

maybe they just didn't find the right client.
maybe that SRO_ChinaTestIn is something that doens't check the versions.

maybe chinese didn't want to have euros ;)
maybe they didn't want to implement everything to avoid getting sued.
nobody would play isro anymore if they would have euros on their server.

No. You still miss the point.
I saw via disassembling that it contains all locales. But still euro and chinese version had alot of diffrent packets. After europe update alot of things changed. So still unless we beat up and steal the files from some ecsro ex-co-owner or something we can't prove anything.

people were encouraged to leave as they were doing little and had no use. People still that remain are all fully commited, so we dont have any loose ends.

ontopic:
I think when most people talk about server files and databases its coming from their ass :P as no one knows to much with it.

we're trying to figure out something here. nothing else.

weren't you the guy saying that you got the server files and databases in first place?
well, if you had them, i'm sure your emu would be complete already.

please don't offend us becasue we're philosophating about the server files that were leaked.
if you don'T like the convo, then be my guest and leave.

like other people I was a noob once at these kind of things and had little knowledge, we found some files and tried to put the pieces together from what we could find, we got so far, but was figured it was useless, so emulator was the only way to go.

server files dont come with the source so they would be little help in completeting an emulator.

true. but wouldn't disassembling the server files help to decipher the packets or some other stuff?
i always hear people saying that it's way more easy to create an emu if they got some sort of server files for analyzing purposes.

well would help to a degree to see how they structure things etc, but you would probably learn more and not become reliant following your own method
