Before we get into the patch notes a quick disclaimer: The server is experimental. IT MAY EVEN CRASH. In case I do not notice, feel free to notify me on Discord. For bugs and feedback, please use the forum, we will not process any bug reports on Discord.



All characters have been wiped. Remember that the eventual relaunch carries another wipe with it.



We begin our notes with the 2 new features that need to be tested



Account quests



A quick introduction to account quests:

Account quests are quests that are shared across all your characters. Accepting one account quest on a character and logging onto another, will result in the account quest to also be displayed on the other character. At the same time, an account quest can be completed and will not be available again on that account (and currently there is no daily account quest). This is very ideal for first time completion rewards for bosses and other interesting things.



Here is a list of currently available account quests and their rewards:



Farell 1st completion (complete quest): 100 dust (weapon and armor), 50 bounty tokens, 5 Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 50 gold
Lavalon 1st completion: +11 Enchant changer, 100 dust, 10 Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 100 gold
Aram 1st completion: +11 Enchant changer, 200 dust, 15 Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 500 gold
Bone 1st completion: +11 Enchant changer, 500 dust, 30 Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 20 Advanced Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 1000 gold
Paris 1st completion: +11 Enchant changer, 1000 dust, 30 Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 30 Advanced Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 2000 gold
Elga 1st completion: +16 Enchant changer, 2000 dust, 50 Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 40 Advanced Enchant Insurance Scrolls, 4000 gold
Lavalon Heart quest (defeat Lavalon 3 times for a full heart, requires lava quest)
Aram Eye quest (defeat Mutisha 3 times, requires aram quest)
Bone 3 Crystal & Diamond quest (10 runs)
Paris Truth gem & 3 curse gems (20 runs)
Paris Wings (!) (50 runs)
Elga Black Dragon Bloody Crystal (!!!!!) (50 runs)
F7 unlock quest (for your entire account). Unlocks after completing Lavalon (quest). (oh and F7 rokko is going to be enabled)
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE ITEMS FROM ACCOUNT QUESTS ARE TRADABLE. THEY WILL NOT BE TRADABLE ON THE RELAUNCH VERSION.

All account quests are located on the bulletin board in port of the wind south (same npc where aqua quest starts)



Master Mode (Drakos only)



Master mode is the fourth mode (on our server we only had normal) for dungeons. Master Mode features way tankier monsters (scaling with your level), 8 drops per run, a higher chance on rare items (wings and gems) as well as a limit on item usage. Currently, there is only one application of master mode which is Drakos. In this mode, you can only use MP Potions Lv. 60+ and paris feathers. NO HP POTIONS are allowed. (consider taking a healer with you). There are free Master Mode scrolls on the cash shop for the duration of the experimental server.



We are looking forward to your feedback of these features. Currently, this implementation mainly aims so the foundation of it is tested on bugs. Many other implementations will come at one point.



These conclude the 2 features, here are other patch notes:



F7 is now enabled on rokko. The account quest is unlocked after completing the Lavalon quest. Entering F7 will still require you to be Lv. 40
F7 waiting time has been reduced to 10 seconds from 60
F7 bombs can now be targeted by towers for full damage
F7 bombs receive normal damage again (one hit)
EXP Rate of the server has been increased to 12x
Added Normal Drakos Scroll Fl. 47 to cash shop (free)
Added Van Cliff Job Change scrolls to cash shop (free)
An unlimited Character Jump Event has been intiated (from the get go)
Jumps your character to Lv. 20 with basic equipment and Farell quest completed (instant reward)
Added more staff emotes
Quest changes:



Fellowship Entry test begins prequest is removed. Requires Lv. 20 to accept
Farrell's diary second part prequest is removed. Requires Lv. 40
Where the traces point to (Ash mist - baron) prequest was removed. Requires Lv. 60
Top of Drakos prequest removed. Requires Lv. 70
Fight Black Dragon Lord Elga prequest was changed to Top of Drakos.


These are all changes for now. Adjustments will be made here and there if necessary and more implementations may be made. We will closely monitor of how things go and implement new features that require testing that are currently being worked on.



The servers will soon go up after the patch notes are released, stay tuned! The patch will be made available soon to your clients.

Here are the current patch notes:

Fixed the base wait time to next stage on F7 from 60s to 10s
Fixed the max level entry for F7 rokko (unlimited now)
Enabled remote quest completion on account quests
Removed trash items from missions when using Gada coins (should only be set parts now)
Changed the official Adept guild's icon. The guild is open to all players to test, play and communicate together (request join on guild board)
A note forgotten last patch: F7 fatigue was disabled (you will always be at max and get max exp)
A note forgotten last patch: CD are not reset anymore on death and revive (future ultimates buff).
Shortened monster kill quests in the aram questlines (generally reduced those quests's required kill count from 40 to 10 per quest that require it)
Increased rewards on Bounty quests:
Farell: 50 dust, 50g, 3 enchant scrolls
Endairon: 50 dust, 50g, 3 enchant scrolls
Specters: 50 dust, 50g, 3 enchant scrolls
Anukus: 50 dust, 50g, 3 enchant scrolls
Lavalon: 100 dust, 100g, 5 enchant scrolls
Akanai: 100 dust, 100g, 5 enchant scrolls
Ryvius: 100 dust, 100g, 5 enchant scrolls
Mutisha: 100 dust, 150g, 5 enchant scrolls
Cetirus: 100 dust, 150g, 5 enchant scrolls
Bone: 150 wdust, 200g, 7 enchant scrolls, 3 adv enchant scrolls (wdust only because it would be too many rewards with the gacha boxes)

Here are the current patch notes:



Master mode and Expedition now have a limited revive count
Base revive count is 5 across the entire party/fellowship
Invoker revives ignore the restriction
When the last person alive dies and all revives are consumed, the fellowship (elga only) automatically gets a failed to complete message and are ported out soon after
VC/Drakos now do not offer gold as a revive method anymore. Paris feathers (and angel feathers) are going to be free in the cash shop
Fixed a bug where some attacks in master mode would cause the character to reset and not deal damage
Fixed a bug where slaying Farell would not finish the Farell Bounty quest
We will monitor potential bugs with expeditions. In case of a major bug it could be the revive limits will be rolled back in a hotfix maintenance (less than 5 mins).

A new feature is coming this patch, here are the basics:



Failing an enchant now grants an additional 10% of the original rate of success additive per fail. Currently, this bonus is unlimited (it might be changed) and the amount of added success is very very generous (this implementation is meant for testing).
Every enchant level now has a maximum number of fails a user can have enchanting before having a guaranteed success. These are:
+8 and +9: Guaranteed after 3 fails
+11 to +14: Guaranteed after 10 fails
+16 and +17: Guaranteed after 15 fails
+18 and +19: Guaranteed after 20 fails
+21 to +24: Guaranteed after 40 fails
You are now unable to enchant after +7 (till +7 is 100%) WITHOUT an Insurance Scroll UNLESS you have a 100% successrate or a guaranteed enchant through pity accumulation.
There are also messages for each of these cases letting you know how much additional success you are gaining for the next attempt or whether the next attempt is guaranteed a success.



Item specific enchant (current implementation is basically to see whether it works just fine)

Elga weapon's +21 to +24 Enchant is now different. It now requires 1 Essence of Black Claw Nest to enchant instead of x Weapon Dust. The guaranteed success now comes at 20 fails instead of 40.
Also, the Bloody Crystal drop rate has been increased by a lot.

Here are the patch notes:

Fixed the messages for revive in superground, expedition and enchanting
You now cannot use insurance scrolls anymore on Enchants lower than +7 (you wont even see the icons for that) as they are 100%
Updated the popup message when pressing enchant
Updated the enchant UI to display:
Current Successrate
Additional Successrate per fail
Current amount of fails on enchant level
Maximum amount of fails until the enchant is guaranteed a success
(you will also see the current successrate turn green at 100% rate)
Next restart also features:
Ability to enchant without scroll at 100% rate (pity or milestone)
If you leave the scroll/put a scroll on a 100% rate enchant, the scroll will not be consumed

Hello AdeptGamers,

It has been two months since we have changed from being on hiatus to an experimental alpha, introducing two new features: Account Quests and Master Mode (for Drakos). In a following update we added Enchant Pity and Failover Successrates which enable smoother enchanting and help to remove some P2W aspects by implementing custom mat requirements. While I'm not finished with balancing changes or feature additions so things will be changing in the future, we are happy to say that we have mostly received positive feedback and have been taking player opinions and suggestions into account for our future updates.

Since the last update I have been working on a large patch that will consist of three large patches which will help to flesh out new areas and add more depth to the gameplay. Here is an overview of what I currently have planned, though this will be subject to change as we get player feedback, and we continue to experiment.

Two “new” (reused) continents (currently without quests) for Lv. 80+ and the Element Overhaul, which includes:
The new elemental damage and calculation system
Four old Element dungeons
Chapter 1/2 VanCliff with possibility to upgrade Lv. 60 Bone Sets and Weapon to stronger Elemental versions
A possible patch later on for production hammers to use elemental cards
Added quests for the continent and potentially new dungeons and visual updates on maps (tbd)
Production system re-introduced
Potentially reworking aspects or altering the currently existing system

While we implement these changes, we will be watching for player feedback and suggestions and focus on fixing bugs and considering our next steps.

Hello AdeptGamers,

It is time for the new Element Update! This patch offers an overhaul of said system as well as two new continents players can re-explore from the past. This iteration, however, is not the last and the world will still go through changes (visually). I will also potentially add more dungeons in the next larger patches (read more on the timeline on the recent announcement).


Let's get the elephant out of the way first and start with the Element System.

Element Update

One big downside of the old Element System was that any elemental attack would always carry a flat added bonus damage on ANY attack which is then reduced by some weird calculation for resistances. This made things unbalanced between classes and kind of useless for PVE. I have changed this up completely.
  • Elemental Attack and Defense is now a percentage
  • This percentage converts a portion of your skill damage to elemental damage
  • Example: 20% Elemental ATK multiplies your skill damage by 1.2. The pure elemental damage is reduced by the target's elemental defense, which is also a portion converted from the target's overall defenses (upgrade your gear!).
  • Most bosses do not have elemental attack. Currently only Paris and Elga have some elemental attack. Old VanCliff with Bone Dragon will also have elemental attack, but way higher than before to the point where it makes sense to build some Dark Defense (the set will reduce quite a bit of damage as most damage is elemental).
  • Any elite boss with an elemental stat bar displays how much elemental damage is being reduced (or increased if negative). If a boss displays more than 100% defense on an element, your normal damage will NOT be reduced.
  • Example: 20% Ele power. 1000 damage => 1200 damage
  • Boss resistance: -50%
  • Element damage adjusted: 200 * 1.5 = 300
  • Final skill damage: 1300 damage (does not account for normal defenses ofc)
  • Elemental Acc is already implemented through elemental dungeons and were adjusted to be much more useful.
  • You can enter Ele dungeons through scrolls from the cash shop until a physical portal is created.
  • Cards will be looked at over time
  • Element chests are available at bounty exchanger for 6 respective Basic Elements (for accessories)


Content Update

Taking up on the spirit of the server I worked on previously, the new continents are old maps from Chapter 1/2. You can experience the nostalgia of the old maps without having to endure its missions (most of the missions Lv. 50+ had big design flaws which made them not fun to play). Currently there aren't any missions as I didn't see a purpose for them to exist. Fear not, you will be able to farm items and gold through other means and older missions. Generally, what we need to be tested are mob positions, portals leading to the correct corresponding portal to the other side (some portals have wrong names but the map they lead to is correct since the layout was changed). Here is a summary:
  • Added two continents from chapter 1
  • You can enter port of the winds (old) through the portal in the middle of odellia until further changes to the world.
  • Currently there aren't any story quest. They will be added later
  • Almost all NPCs are their own version and don't match up with their normal versions. This results in not being able to talk to most of them (includes some shops).
  • The four old elemental dungeons were added. You can enter them through scrolls free in the cash shop until there are physical portals. Any path inside the dungeon you take will lead you to the same boss. This can be subject to change in the future.
  • The bosses in the dungeons are quite a bit more difficult. You will always face 1 boss monster and 1 elite monster siding it.
  • You are only supposed to be able to drop spiritual drops (like you're used to) and Normal Blesses (not advanced or higher). If the drops differ, please let me know on the forum.


Old VanCliff

The old version of chapter 1 of Van Cliff has been implemented in the new continent. It can be accessed like usual through ash mist village. For now you won't need to have a quest in order to enter. The entire dungeon is split between three sub-dungeons. In every dungeon you have to collect 4 key pieces in order to access the boss room. For GateKeeper's part of the dungeon, however, you must kill a total of 4 mini bosses, 2 each per map (2x in the library, and 2x in the botanic garden). For the other maps, you have to kill the monsters as usual for the key pieces. The dungeons are in a slightly different design that I decided to leave it that way. Here is some information about the bosses, drops and equipment
  • Count VanCliff and GateKeeper are both counted as Bosses, while Ranhoff is only Elite.
  • Count VanCliff and GateKeeper do not drop keys to enter the next dungeon. The requirement asking for a Key to enter the next sub dungeon is removed for the moment à You can enter any dungeon at any point.
  • VC, GK and Bone Dragon all drop up to 8 items (may be subject to change).
  • All bosses drop one kind accessory, which belong to a set.
  • Like normal VC and Drakos, there is one rare drop and one very rare drop.
  • Ruby Dragon Bone as rare, required for exchanging any equipment
  • Can be dropped at any of the 3 large bosses
  • Bone Dragon has a higher chance of dropping them compared to VC/GK
  • Gold Anvil only from Bone, required to craft the weapon. HOWEVER, the weapon cannot be crafted currently and will be implemented later.
  • The common drop is Dragon Bone in blue for all bosses.
  • The normal and hero sets have switched colors now. Meaning your current bone set will have the hero colors you're used to.
  • The Rare set can be exchanged by using Ruby Dragon Bones, Dragon Bones in Blue and the Lv. 60 set.
  • Drops may still be subject to change and more rewards will be added most likely.
  • You can exchange equipment at NPC Veron in the old VanCliff lobby.
General Changes

There aren't many changes but here they are:
  • Decreased amount of runs necessary to achieve Bloody Crystal Pity (quest)
  • Implemented some parts of Lost Dragonica's UI
  • FYI, if you see this UI on other servers, it was taken from Lost Dragonica (2016+) as it didn't have a different encryption back then.
  • Increased Max level scaling for Verglas Ridge and Dragon Valley missions to 90. Happy farming!
  • Increased Critical Damage soulcraft effects on backpack and weapons
  • Changed Drakos Master Mode monster level to be at least Lv. 80
  • Shortened the text in the enchant UI for requirement, scroll etc. to prevent overflow and have a cleaner look.
  • Raised maximum level cap to Lv. 90.
