For anyone reading it in 2023 - you can set them up to work with HTML5. They have some bugs and don't work straight out of the gate, but it took me like an hour to go from the "black screen bug" to a fully working game. If you have troubles, browser devtools and google are your biggest help.
Anyways, I do have one issue I just can't fix. Local Storage doesn't seem to be working on Firefox, at least on my end.
I don't have this issue with Chromium-based browsers. From what I could find it's because Firefox doesn't load Local Storage properly if it's loaded before DOM, instead loading an empty Storage. And while I do know the theory (I think), I can't seem to apply it in practice - also working in obfuscated, minified js files is pain.
