I think the server will have potentional to succeed to a successfull server but please, do it for us the players and your server, start with a DEDICATED SERVER from day 1 and not a VPS or any other virtual shit.
This will save you from alot of troubles ;)
It's a chunk of a investment but if your server starts without troubles you surely get it back, doubled or tripled in 2 days by donos.

And ofcourse let's hope for a corruption free server.
Too much corrupted servers these days.

Hopefully you will succeed and your server will be open for a long time.

Cap 80 servers are always fun to play on, I prefer something with a Euro race as wel to get more builds and variation. I quite like classic servers, no too much edits and extra weapons. A 80 server should run on 8Dg items in my opinion, not anything raging between 8-13Dg. But thats just me.

I'll be there during the beta, hopefully that changes my mind :)
