Hey Guys,
No expert on either law or making a bot, however i am a little curious about how TQ would go about dealing with it if you were in another country. For example if you had it hosted in Australia or something, or even remotely hosted in one of those countries that don't care about copyright etc(Vietnam?)?. They still able to do anything about it?

It depends if they had a judge sign the c&d.... It makes perfectly good sense for tq to spend money like that.. They could spend a one time sum to shut down the bot, or they could spend money paying programmers overtime to fix problems the bot is causing...

acctualy IHateOpal has a vailid point, if a company resides in a different country than TQ then it is out of there bounds, hosting it on a country with no reminisence of TQ on (not china/japan/uk/us/canada) any server other than those should be good.

TQ could try and get a IP block on the website however they wouldn't be able to do anything about it, if the proxy was the way it is. (legal issues etc..)

Agreed, i can imagine the same way. change name, sources n what else is required to avoid locate u and just do it all time. move like homless ppl, n change website n the whole things again.

that would cost a fair amount of money to accomplish... Wouldn`t it be pretty suspicious of a new bot/proxy coming up immediately after TQ sends out a C&D

well on another note,concidering the bot is free now and there were no encryptors or packers used on the jproxy.exe and jloader.exe,both can be decompiled to source code[yeas im sure it will have missed A few things and changed A few values like what would happen when you would decompile A version of Qo's proxy over 90% of the code is there and usable] and to interpet the code to other languages,so it should help ppl who are wanting to make there own proxies and learn some dotnet-- VC++ C# VBNET even delphi--

And to andy,hybrid and green,I was just telling ppl who want to learn to program that this might be of some use,I AM NOT saying steal there code,Screw them and there work that went into it,I have nothing but respect for andy,hybrid and green[who I never met but aperently is the invisible guy behind some nice bots[blacknull and jproxy]]in the end posting the jproxy.exe and "recovered" source codes should still be there choice wether it is alowed.
or im sure they can find a way to update to A packed exe to stop ppl from decompiling it,it does autoupdate everytime.
