Honestly I'm not very concerned if there'll be a lot of people playing or not. I'll just do what I can to create a stable server and anyone who feels like playing can join and enjoy. I'd rather try to create daily/weekly events where people can take a break from leveling/farming and have fun instead of boosting the rates. Current episode I'm working on has absolute armors but they won't be available initially(Their stats might need some nerfs before releasing them). As far as shrine episode goes, I believe it's possible to update the emulator to shrine episode with an extra month of work but that can wait for now.

1. Shrine is ABSOLUTE trash - see what i did there? No but i meant it srsly.
2. You don't have to "free them" from their lvling, if there ARE lower rates, no1 will even bother with lvling - events doesn't matter in that case. Atleast thats the opinion from an 8years archlord player.

Nowadays germany isn't germany anymore - its foreignerland. Refugees come here, try to rape our woman, disrespect the people and have absolutely no intention about doing anything. That's why i always wear an telescopic bat and beat the shit out of everyone i see.

I've been playing since later episode 2 as well. I've never made it to high levels or had great items until later webzen episodes. And honestly that was fine because there were a lot of people who were like me and I could always find a match within my level range. Then again, I'm not very concerned with having a high player base. As long as there're 50-100 active players I'll do what I can to provide an enjoyable server. As far as shrine content goes, I like the new UI especially what they did with quick belt and chat and I'm sure most players would agree. But then again, I'm not planning to add it without making huge adjustments on items and, if I can figure it out, editing maps.

Sure it'll most likely be a public beta so anyone can feel free to join when it's up. I'll announce it here(epvp) near the launch(during may/june).

Honestly, you seem to be the only promising developer working on the game right now.

But just a quick question as to which plays a huge role in enjoying the game itself, your plans in donations and so on, are they based on the game turning into a pay to win game, or is it something that you will try to avoid? If you are going to avoid that, how will your financial state look? How will you ever be able to pay the upkeep of the server, if it draws the attention of more than expected, maybe a few thousand players? It's just a theoretical question, will you be able to pay the upkeep or not?

That's a nice question. But that's the thing with AL, imagine I make all chantra items free and don't make a single cent off server, even pay the server machine cost out of my pocket. Will that save the game from being pay to win? I think not. I don't think chantra shop effects the 'pay to win' aspect of the game nearly as much as the actual items. There'll still be high amounts of money flowing for in-game items. The only thing that will change is that the person who spent thousands of hours won't make a single cent for all his efforts.

What I'll try to do is instead of changing the game I'll add events where you don't need to have the best item or the highest level to win. Obviously more serious events like siege will be kept as is and people who spend time farming will be rewarded as they should be. So if someone is worried that they won't be able to make it to end-game due to low rates or lack of chantra items, worry not, you'll get your chance to be on spotlight.

as long as you put lens and some basic cc items to merchant and don't set rates and xp to 100% or 200% only, everything should be fine.

Yeah I don't mind giving core CC items away. I don't think selling them for in-game gold is any different than selling them for CC so lens(and CC pots) can stay in chantra shop and be free.

Guys, as much as I love the hype for osiy1996s server ( and I do ), this discussion is being held in the completely wrong forum thread, respect the thread topic please :)

osiy1996 make your post about serv when you find time, so we can follow your proggress :) put some more pictures too..

I'll make a website with all the info 2-3 weeks before the launch. There's nothing interesting yet either it's the usual episode 7 server you all know and bunch of boring technical stuff.

What I mean is, the files are bad, but think about the ideas/progress we had, you can do better with it.
