well actually i was the one who told him about asking a pm so all get what he promised and the pm i meaned was damaged and david told me you quit coz ryan still didnt give you what others get so yeah you didnt quit coz of punishment but you did for damaged lol coz punishment didnt even know about all that till i told him yesterday

I believe it. And I'm not saying that FearReaper is wrong for putting a topic out there warning everyone, but to keep this up for 3 pages back and forth is like a soap opera.

Actually, Damage hired someone that came in and tried to make it cheat proof, but apparently since Damage hired him, instead of talking to the guy, his account was removed. He didn't have a player character and had no actual interest in playing the game whatsoever. At least talking to him before just going "Screw You" would've been wise.

Ok so Six page :) . But FearReaper seriously, this is why you shouldn't let others run your server files. It messes all the hard work you did.

yer well i still have my DB in a back up so its all good i just hate that some one is gunna sit here and claim all my hard work as thier own

Unfortunately Eurion.. Not everyone has oodles of cash to pay for a host or stable internet connections. Personally, My ISP does a dump several times a day just to ensure that people aren't doing things like running pservers... lol.. Which leaves with little choice but to pay out the arse for a host or find someone kind enough to do it for nothing or a cut in on a staff position or donations. :/

It's still a huge risk an owner must take in allowing someone else to host their server. This isn't the first one I've seen on these forums where the person hosting it has decided to take the power away from the person who is rightfully the owner.

Eurion, allow me to clarify something for you.

6 months ago, me and some friends created EternalDarkness, we had another coder then. This guy reckons that he owns the server cos he created the client, which he took from CandyEo, who took it from Acme (so i am told).
I own the the hardware for this server, at no small cost to myself i might add.

He is only throwing a hissy fit because i banned him from the server because he broke MY RULES FOR THE STAFF BEHAVIOUR.

The client, the Db, and all the related software is no longer on my server. The server my friends and i created will live on as we originally intended- a purely private and by invite only server.
Admittedly we have no longer got the client he supposedly ''CREATED'', but we will find another person to do the job the way we want it done. And that person will do things the way we, the owners and other creators want it done, and within the rules we agreed upon before this person joined us.

no longer on ur computer.. is that why the server is up and im on it?

I understand where you're coming from, but in the same sentence I understand where FearReaper is coming from. Being a coder on a server is a big responsibility. Also my opinion on it is, If he is your coder, he should also have the right claim partial ownership to the server.

As many coders out there will tell you, without the person actually coding your server, it wouldn't be available without them. But again this is just my opinion on this matter. As I'm not your coder nor an owner of your server, I really have no right to tell you how to run things.

You didnt, but still, the Coder has not the right to tell the owner that he is the only one who is allowed to do things thats just not as it should be

if you know so much ryan, as you claim. You demanded i delete the files from my computer, and i have. So what if theres a backed up copy on another computer. So why dont you get over yourself and go play big man in Redemption like you were intending to do all along? And leave us so-called smallfish alone to do what we want with EternalDarkness.
