Hello Makevli,

I am having trouble with my server.... I followed guide, but now i have a problem, After running the exe's in order when i ran L2Server I have a error message and it says it must be closed .
Here are the pictures.

Sorry it looks like my screenshots stretch the the screen , i think that i forgot to change resulotion.

Please help me :? .... I took screen shots in this order... PetitionD with the L2Server.exe error then AuthServer then CacheD then L2LogD. I am pretty sure that MSSQL is working because my registration page works succefully.

i need the errors from the L2server console, cuz here are only screens from the errors they comes up when the l2server allready fucked up ^^

which ips must i change to use my router? i want that my friends can play too on my server

u must change the ip in config.txt under "NewAuth&#092;etc" DevServerIP=******** <----- change this one to your wanip

and then open Enterprise Manager go to L2db > Tables and open the server table, insert your wanip under ip and leave 127.0.0.1 in inner_ip, done ;)

also ich hab ein router drann. muss da nich ne andere ip genommen werden statt 127.0.0.1?

ja da wo ich gesagt habe wanip ;) da kommt die ip rein die du bei [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] zu sehen bekommst :)

sag mal wenn ich die npcpos.txt mit vollen npcs nehme(39xx) kackt das bei ca 3200 npcs ab(beim laden)
hab ich da zuwenig ram(768) ?

hast du die boot.ini überhaubt auf /3gb gestellt ?

so ging gestern alles(server lief komplett und konnte vom andern pc joinen) bloß jetz kann ich nichmehr von nem anderen pc joinen. kriege schon ne kriese^^ weist du an was es liegen könnte makaveli?

edit: hast du evt. msn, aim oder icq? weil da müssma nich so das forum zu hauen^^

Any1 succeeded in settin this up on Win 98 SE?
Windows XP is too heavy, maybe with 98 SE it would need less memory and Processor...
Im tryin to set it up, if i can ill post here, if any1 got it could u post here a guide?
(Linux would be awesome too, but i guess Microsoft SQL dont have an emulator for linux...)

its not recommended to run the server on Win98 or less cuz Win98 etc. has no server optimations, the server runs great on WinXp Pro, Win 2000 Server and Win 2003 Server ;)

hmm du solltest das problem mal genau beschreiben, das du nicht mehr joinen kannst sagt mir nicht wirklich viel^^

also wenn ich ja petitiond, auth, cached und l2log starte müsste ich mich ja wenigstens vom anderen pc einloggen können. das geht aber nichmehr weis auch nicht warum. hab im router die ports 7777 und 2106 freigegeben dann in l2db(server) wan ip vom inet explorer reingetan(da aol ne andere gibt) und in newauth wan ip rein. aber jetz kann ich einfach nicht mehr connecten vom andern pc es lief vorgestern noch. werde langsam verrückt deswegen^^ selbst wenn ich auf meinen pc wo ich den server laufen lasse l2 mit der wan ip starte kann ich nich verbinden nur mit der 127.0.0.1 geht es. also ddenke ich das es nur am router liegen kann der die wan ip blockt. was meinst du dazu?
