Perfect CID proxy setup

Step 4 If not already there make shortcuts to the play.exe file in the original conquer2.0 folder. CID should already place short cuts on the desktop. now ur done. if you wanna use the unedited co click the play.exe shortcut, if you wanna use CID click on his links. NOTE: if you use the shortcut to play.exe the original folder will update and play as normal, no cid commands will work on any of these windows. when cid no longer works you can still play as normal on the regular system untill CID is updated. Once an updated CID is made available go to the CO update page and download all the patch files to the Conquer2.x file and run them. then reinstall the new CID files into the same Conquer2.x folder. tada there you go. when CID works you use it when CID dont work use the play shortcut. i actually run a couple of CID windows and a couple normal windows so i dont overload the cid proxy...it seems to be much more stable doing that than having 4 or 5 CID windows going at once. Making a multi client out of CID is the same as without CID...other than that you will have to do your own research. Hint: it involves a hex editor hope this helps at least a few of you...it works great for me.
