Did anyone use this VM?

And if yes, does it work any better than previous one?

I use this one, I've never used the previous one, so I don't know how it compares. The operating system is Windows XP and it's in spanish, and as far as I can tell it can't be changed to english w/o a windows install disc. The OS is also not fully tweaked (System settings). I think this is important to do as you can gain 1-3 VMs by tweaking the OS and stripping it to a no frills setup..Google "Tweaks Windows XP" and you probably can find 10 sites that tell you how to strip all the animations and frill and make it run with less resources.

Other than those few nuances its really good. I tweaked it, copied new config files, updated League and the bot then copied it to make the rest of my VMs and it works like a charm.

My current PC specs:

i7 3770k Quad (4) Core - 3.5ghz
16gb RAM
SanDisk Extreme SDSSDX-120GB SSD
GTX 680

How many can I run at once, while maintaining stability?
07/26/2013 03:21 Likes2bot#5914
Just ordered a new rig for my business. I think it will hit 30 VMs easily, but want to get some input/thoughts for my next build, I'd like to build a machine that can do 40 VMs with stability.

New Machine I just Ordered: Bot only Machine, no gaming
Z87 Asrock Mobo
32GB 1866 DDR3
7970 ATI Card w/3GB
512MB Samsung 840 Pro
80 Plus Gold Corsair PSU
i7 - 4770k LGA 1150 Processor
Antec Nine Case

Ideas/Questions for Next build:
Go with the X79 Board and a 3930k?
Is the extra cores/cache of the LGA 2011 processors worth it for VM performance/speed?
Seperate the OS to a 60gb Samsung 840 Pro? Is this worth it with these SSDs or waste of money on a purely Bot computer?

Anyone knowledgeable of such things feel free to chime in :)

LGA 2011 = 6 core + 64GB ram
easy 40VMs

wtb config for accsall that works.

I suggest 15 vmwares. 15 will run smoothly and you will be able to play flash games on your pc or watch movies.

You can try to hit 20 vmwares but everything above that will cause loading lag / crashes / errors of all kind.

I5 without hyperthreading tech unlocked that is what you can hit.
You cannot hit more sorry :/

Then you know cpu tricks? It is not about ram but cpu ... most high number of vmwares on 6 core intel is 30.
Of course you can try to go for more but loading is longer, errors etc.
So at the end you end with the same or even lower output than 30 vmwares which are faster.

For my new pc i took 16 gb ram cause 400 mb ram is more than enough with good quality SSD disk which intel is.

I am in fear riot will bust ref a friend program and we will all end with 10 rigs without usage ... good :D

That machine is good for 20-24 ... do not expect more.
Why did not you go for 3930k box? You are from america right? Cheap pc parts as **** :)

I am jelly :P

I just bought mine 3930k rig with same graph card 16gb 2133 ddr3 ram and 240 gb ssd intel disk ...

goal : 30 ^^

30 vmwares without problem o.o? Wut? i have pretty much the exact same setup (a little better), 16gb ram, 256gb ssd and i7-3770k, i cap out at ~14-15 if i close EVERYTHING else, including explorer and such
Not all SSD are the same ... even ssd are diffirent sorts.
I have intel ssd with best writing / reading specs.

Also are you using xp? Did you follow tutorials step by step? Turned off all things?

Also check your pc energy configuration in control panel. Make sure you are not saving energy.

YOU CAN GET MORE :)

Why? I am running smoothly 16 vmwars on my i7 860 lol :P

Thank you for the input! I hope I get a chance to buy it soon.

How old is this computer? What i5 is it? My i5 setup does 20 VMs with 16GB ram and a cheapo SSD.

I agree completely. I have almost same machine. I run 16 consistently and with good stability. If I go more than that, I start getting issues (I can go to 20 for short periods)

I got the top of the line samsung 840 pro going in my new machine. I'm very excited :) Samsung actually makes a much better SSD than intel right now. Intel's not bad, but samsung is simply the fastest SSD available right now.

The 3930k + Motherboard + 64GB of ram was a good $1000 (750€) more. That processor (even in america) and buying ram in 16GB sticks IS SO EXPENSIVE! I mean when you look at the 64GB of ram you have to consider that only the $600 asrock board has 8 slots. The other boards that support 64GB of ram only have 4 slots and buying even the cheap kingston ram in 4 x 16GB is $600 for just the ram. I looked into going the AMD route (and may still do that in a future build) but you run into the same issue with the ram. There is only one AMD board that supports 64GB of ram with the 8 core processor and that is again the Asrock, but it only has 4 slots so you get back into that $600 ram again. Honestly, after saying I want to run 40VMs.... I think building three machines that run 30 each is better than building two machines that run 40 each...it's more cost effective b/c of the ram/processor cost of the 3930k/16GB sticks of ram.

Definately something wrong with that setup. I even use cheap OCZ SSD in some of my machines and still get many more VMs than that :)

I have VM9 set up and everything but when i try to run a bot it says ive already used the code, which i have but i thought there was a way to run multiple vms at once off the same code or w/e plaese explain how yall are running all of yalls.
07/27/2013 14:42 trolololman#5923
The bot keeps playing / be stuck at the BattleTraining on new accounts, despite turning it off in the config.
Further on it skips many accounts at lvl 6 etc. or even lvl 1 by thinking they are already lvl 10.
Already switched the checklvl method to the pixel one..

Ok guys i got my new pc ... and i've decided to try that feature of shared folder / one account file for all bots.

Problem is.

;Accounts handling mode. 0 use local vm accounts.txt, 1 use file in shared folder (accpath), 2 use accsall method.
accmode=2

if i put 1 ... it does not click play ... if i click play it WORKS! ... (but i do not want to have 30 txt files etc ... + it does not work good )

if i put 2 ... it does not login at all ... (it shows like it is trying ... ).

Can you help me out here please?

edit : np figured it out :) nice help btw

Start 1 VM, register the code, clean up that machine (tweak, etc) then make sure it has updated League of Legends and is good to go...try running the bot once on that machine...if it works fine, then you clone that machine. 1 License of NHCbot works for all VMs on one computer. If it says your license is used, look at page 1 and ask for a reset of your license key.
