Hey,

I'm running a Thai NosTale private server based on the EU client. I've made a DLL that forces the client to use Thai locale (CP874, THAI_CHARSET), but Thai text doesn't render correctly I get artifacts like Ô because the data files are still encoded in Windows-1252. I also tried putting Thai text into the i18n item.txt using OneExplorer, but in-game instead of displaying "Wooden Stick" for example, the game shows something like "qpegirughrioguhqeiguerh" in Thai characters... complete garbage.

I need someone who can decrypt and re-encrypt:

- NOS archives (NScliData, NSlangData, NStcData, etc.)
- Chat text and more

So I can convert the text content from Windows-1252 to CP874.

I'm paying. DM on discord me to discuss : noseternal

Thanks!

We are looking currently for someone who has an good official account who can deliver us packets up to Act10.

Ofc the work gets paid. Contact me on Discord : apocalypticends

Hi Community,

Some of you may remember me from moderating this section years ago, or [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].

After building and scaling online businesses, I’m now returning with a different goal:

Helping build the next truly dominant NosTale private server.

What I Bring

In my professional life, I work in online growth, marketing and team leadership.

Over the past years I have:

Helped influencers grow audiences and monetize them, generating 7–8 figures in total revenue

Managed teams of up to 20 people

Built and managed large online communities

Written content and ad scripts generating 100M+ views across social media

My strongest areas are:

Creative Strategy
Creating campaigns and content that attract attention and convert players.

Growth & Marketing
Understanding how to bring traffic and turn it into an active player base.

Data-driven decision making
Building systems and tracking metrics so the server grows consistently.

Team leadership
Keeping teams aligned, organized and focused on growth.

Community building
I previously managed a 10,000 member Discord community in the League of Legends niche.

Retention & Monetization
Using tools like Klaviyo for player retention, upsells and reactivation.

What I Don't Do

I don't code.

Which means I'm specifically looking for a technical team that already has development strength.

What I'm Looking For

A serious project or existing server with:

• strong development
• long-term vision
• ambition to become the biggest server in the scene

My role would be focused on:

Growth, marketing, community expansion and strategic direction.

-

If you are part of a serious project with strong development skills and a clear ambition to build (or expand to) THE biggest server in the scene, feel free to reach out via DM.

Please include:

A short description of your server/project

Your team structure (devs, admins, etc.)

Your current stage (idea / development / live server)

I’m interested in long-term projects with real ambition, not short-term experiments.

edit: not needed anymore

We are currently looking for Community Managers across Asia.

We are developing a groundbreaking, next-generation technology aimed at enabling this game to support all major Asian languages, including Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and more.

We have already successfully implemented automatic conversion between Traditional and Simplified Chinese, which has been running reliably for over a year.

If you are interested in joining us or becoming a regional community manager, feel free to contact me on Discord.

Hey everyone,

We're designing a NosTale private server focused on skill-based combat and modernized gameplay. We're aiming for something fresh and long-term, not a quick project.

Our team is already complete on:

• Design & content production
• Graphics
• Community management

Right now, we're looking for a developer to handle the programming side and help bring the project to life.

Our core design elements are:

• Reworked combat system - parry, skill combos, faster movement & attack speed
• More challenging, skill-based reworked raids
• No fixed classes - free SP usage
• Wide build variety
• PvP events & tournaments
• Slow, progressive acts release - all content will be valued and made meaningful

We're looking for someone genuinely interested in building something solid and different.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me on Discord at .osopo
Thanks!

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for German people who are interested in setting up a NosTale server,
developing a concept, and much more.

My main goal is to work on a project together with other people.
I already own a server that you can connect to.

I’m not looking for people who are hoping for something too big, like the server becoming really professional or anything like that. I’m really just looking for people who are interested in working on a server.

Discord: xcrankzz

I'm looking for people who want to start a project together, if they already have some material it would be perfect, otherwise I'll get it.
Let me know if anyone wants to make a new Pserver just for fun.
:)

About NosGM

Hello, NosTale community!

We are developing NosGM, an open-source NosTale server emulator based on the OpenNos ecosystem.

Our goal is not simply to launch another private server. We want to create a stable, efficient, modern and well-documented source that developers, players and enthusiasts can study, test, improve and maintain together.

NosGM is currently under active development, and we are looking for serious contributors who want to help shape the future of the project.

What Are We Working On?

• Login, World and Channel communication
• Client compatibility and packet handling
• Character creation and selection stability
• Session management and safe disconnections
• Packet validation and security improvements
• Server performance and memory optimization
• Timer, thread and resource management
• Bug fixing and code modernization
• Documentation and reproducible testing

Who Are We Looking For?

You do not need to be a professional developer to contribute. Knowledge, curiosity and a willingness to help are all valuable.

We welcome:

• C# and .NET developers interested in reviewing, fixing or improving the source
• NosTale networking and packet developers
• Testers and bug hunters who can reproduce problems and submit clear reports
• Players with deep NosTale knowledge who can identify incorrect mechanics
• Technical writers who can improve documentation, tutorials and installation guides
• New developers who are willing to learn and contribute seriously

What Can You Help Us Test?

There are many systems that need testing, investigation and improvement:

• Login and authentication
• World and Channel visibility
• Character creation and character selection
• SP skills and combat behavior
• New and existing items
• Official packet research and implementation
• Inventory and equipment systems
• Quests, maps and NPCs
• Pets, partners and companions
• Unexpected disconnections and packet errors
• Memory leaks and performance problems
• Server crashes and instability
• Gameplay mechanics that behave differently from the official game

Every useful contribution matters.

A detailed bug report can be just as valuable as a code contribution. Even when you cannot fix a problem yourself, accurately reproducing it can help another contributor find the solution.

What Makes a Good Bug Report?

When reporting a problem, please try to include:

• A clear description of the issue
• The steps required to reproduce it
• What you expected to happen
• What actually happened
• Relevant screenshots, videos or logs
• The client version and server configuration used
• Whether the problem happens consistently or randomly

The more precise the report is, the easier it will be for us to investigate and resolve the problem.

A Transparent Community Project

We believe that a strong emulator should be developed transparently.

Progress, verified fixes, known problems and future plans will be shared through our Discord community. Important improvements will also be documented so that contributors can understand what changed and why.

This is a long-term community journey. There will be difficult bugs, incomplete systems and complex technical challenges, but those challenges are exactly why we are looking for people who want to build something meaningful together.

About Memorium

Earlier this year, Memorium entered its Open Beta, giving us the opportunity to gather initial feedback and evaluate the direction of the project.

Since then, we have continued to rework existing systems, expand content, improve mechanics and further research older parts of the game.
We have now reached the next step: structured closed testing.

Instead of opening everything at once, testing will progress through 4 major phases, each focusing on different areas of the game.
The goal is not only to find technical issues, but also to evaluate progression, balance, gameplay flow and how different systems behave during actual play.

---

Testing Phases

Phase 1 – Core Systems

The first phase focuses on early progression, fundamental gameplay and the core systems used throughout the game.

Phase 2 – Raids & Growth

Testing expands towards character development, group content, raids and progression-related systems.

Phase 3 – Economy & Events

This phase focuses on rewards, economy, repeatable activities and event-related content.

Phase 4 – Polish & Act 4

The final stage covers later progression, Act 4, broader system interactions and general gameplay refinement.

Phase contents may change depending on development progress and previous testing results.

More detailed information will be shared before each phase begins.

---

What We Want to Test

Not every problem is a bug.

Some systems may technically work as intended while still creating poor pacing, confusing situations or unintended gameplay behaviour.

During testing, we will therefore be looking at:

• Technical problems and unexpected behaviour
• Progression and pacing
• Rewards and balance
• Gameplay clarity
• Interactions between different systems
• Different classes, groups and playstyles
• The overall gameplay experience

Feedback about how something feels during actual gameplay is therefore just as valuable as finding something that is technically broken.

---

Who Can Participate?

We are looking for players who already have a good understanding of NosTale and are willing to actively examine the systems they encounter.

Ideally, testers should be comfortable repeating content, comparing different situations and explaining clearly when something feels incorrect or inconsistent.

Previous experience of around 2–3 years with the game is recommended, as many parts of the test require a solid understanding of its mechanics.

---

Giving Feedback

You do not need to know the technical reason behind a problem.

What matters is giving us enough context to understand what happened and under which circumstances.

When reporting something unusual, describe the activity or system involved, what happened before the issue appeared and whether you were able to reproduce it.

Screenshots or videos are helpful whenever they make the situation easier to understand.

For balance and gameplay feedback, focus especially on the effect a mechanic has while playing — for example whether it slows progression too heavily, makes another activity irrelevant or encourages behaviour that was not intended.

---

Testing Roadmap

This announcement represents the current direction of the closed test.

Individual systems may be adjusted, moved between phases or expanded depending on development progress and the feedback gathered during testing.

Information released for an upcoming or active phase should therefore always be considered more current than this general overview.

Closed testing begins in early October.

The exact starting date and first testing schedule will be announced through our Discord.
