example:
374.xml is one of the meeting places (OverLook)
You open that file in the launchevent folder and the part <EventId>374</EventId> you change that ID to an event that has no single player mode that you wish to launch then save and upon launching said meeting place, it reverts to the race event with a single player mode.
Works both with TE and drags that have no single player mode.

yes, edit the launch event file, enter and exit the safe house and you can then launch said event w/o having to log in and out of the game.

Remember, you edit the meeting place's launch event file to have said TE's ID, then join said meeting place and it will launch the TE

Morning, well just say what you did so far. Did you follow the steps from the Read-Me to install the server? Did you restart your PC after you've installed Python 2.7.10 ? :)
Maybe the server isn't installed right. When it happens, after you click on "Start Server" or "Start NFS-W" ? Which Operating System do you use? (Windows XP/7/8/10).

Mabye these questions should help to find the problem. :)

Edit: Have you the actual Java-version (60 or later)? Maybe you have an older one...

I'm sorry, but I still cannot manage to import my "old" carslot file into the latest version.

I can play version 1.7 beta.
I get "multiple roots" error when trying to import it to 1.8. So I cannot load it there.
I also cannot import it to 1.8 update 2, because the importer is looking for the previous OfflineServer.exe (v1.8), but not for the older ServerEditor.exe (v1.7)

What ca I do? I have about 6 accounts with the old form of carslot, which I'd really like to "upgrade". Thanks.

best way is what gamermca said and now I can use my carslots and personas, in the old servers or where ever you have them rather then import just copy the files into the new server

your persona in here
nfsw-srv/www/nfsw/Engine.svc/DriverPersona

carslots in one of these folders to match the persona number above
nfsw-srv/www/nfsw/Engine.svc/personas/100
nfsw-srv/www/nfsw/Engine.svc/personas/200
nfsw-srv/www/nfsw/Engine.svc/personas/300

or just copy the DriverPersona and personas folder and replace in the new server, is what I did

I could not use the import feature even with update 2 I did what gamermca said to copy the folders over that worked for me..
