NFS World Offline Developement Thread

Really disappointed today. I thought Beta 1.7 would be great. Was finally able to buy the cars and race. But then I tried to add 5 star performance part to my corvette and the number went in the opposite direct from A class to D. (I wasn't even trying to do those 100% parts) Then when I added new skill mods and tried to leave the safehouse the last car I used popped up instead of the car I wanted to use. I go and look at the carslots file in notepad and noticed like before the file got corrupt. Just like last time. Oh well back the version 1.1...:-( Still need to fix the bugs. Dam get those traffic cars out of the store purchase.

Added: I went back and started over by just loading my persona from version 1.1 and closed out of the game. Looked at what the new car slots file looked like in folder 100 and it got corrupt without even doing anything to the cars. No buying ...nothing. Can anyone tell me what's going on. Wish I could post pics but I'm not aloud to yet.

I can play around with the cars I loaded but can't do anything else without all hell breaking loose. I can close out of the game with the corrupted carslots file then start up and have a car not even bought nor on my list as what happened when I loaded the game up and got a blue Volkswagen R32 which I never bought.

This version has no more bugs, is stable, the problem is your carslots.xml, is corrupted, use a clean driver when never used on previous version of server.

The carslots file I imported from V 1.1 was NOT corrupt at all and I can tell that it isn't from looking it in note pad.

Added..Funny thing is when I look at folders 200 and 300 and put those car slots in note pad those also look corrupt. Not anything like the previous versions. Those I never even touched. Until I get get permission to post pics I feel like I beating a dead horse.

Man, try import a "clean driver", not one from v1.1. Not copy-paste. You understand?

i got lost searching for Porsche 918 RSR concept's file... can anyone link it for me? i saw its bodykit but not the car in download section...

Yes I understand. I'm NOT copy and pasting...I'm importing the file like I'm supposed to in the read me files

You not import a driver can be found in 1.1 version of server, right? Need a clean driver never before used in older version. If you have arhive with your driver, copy in 1.7 version of server and after import him with server editor.

yeah it have nothing to do with this its unstability its because you have silly amount of cars, that makes emulator unstable, install that carslots.xml [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

i know some html and xml and simillar things its everything from unstability and that server not works well when you want to save big amount of things

it has nothing to do with this you cant corrupt that easy coded(i forgot the word) files .xml, if you want to corrupt that file you need to delete line end (</VisualPartTrans> etc.) its nearly impossible.
btw. why you got black star you were ok.

MasterDomino, you can corrupt carslots.xml in any ways, not only delete "line end", i have 160 Cars in my carslots.xml and more half have a paintjobs, A/M parts etc and work fine for me. Seems others peoples don't knows how to install/use/edit files from the server. I'm bored, same fucking questions everytime, my game won't start, my car change when i going into safe house, how to put back 918 RSR in game, and more stupid questions like this. They never read the previous posts that have answers to these questions.

yeah they are anoying but chill there are other persons who can answer that questions maybe we need to do a separate faq thread but for now i want to answer what you said i said thats nearly impossible to corrupt save by just buying cars you can do it by editing things and toggling things you shouldn't, as i said by normally playing game is nearly impossible to destroy carslots

Good idea with FAQ Thread. Use a driver in old version, and after try to import him in new version of server, with server editor or just copy-paste and you found a bug with change car randomly when you leave and going back into safe house.

copy-paste is not bad i did it 100 times and never had problems but the problem is from unstable saving made by emulator

It's pathetic how people revile on berkay's work when they are actually too dumb to control the program. Hell, this is going to be funny...
