For COD? You don't need anything special, just use the Captain FW that comes with it or the free FW from ekknod, as most people sell it and claim it was made by them.

Its quite common for resellers to claim they are the developers (not throwing shade). They think it gives their product more credibility and from a customer POV it makes sense, you're more likely to buy something if you think you're getting it right from the guy who made it and knows how it works.

In this case though the gentleman set himself up for failure by claiming something that could be easily fact checked.

Dude, seriously? First, you say you're the dev for Fecurity, then you claim it's a joke? That’s a terrible way to do business.

Lying about being the actual developer just to make a possible sale. People can easily fact-check stuff like this. And insulting potential customers by calling them "low-brain" and "braindead"? That’s just unprofessional and makes you look bad.

Calling it a "joke" after you got caught doesn’t make it any better. It's like saying, "Oops, got caught lying, better pretend it was all for laughs!" That's not how trust works. People aren’t gonna buy from someone they can't trust. Customers will wonder what else you might be dishonest about. What other corners might you be cutting? What about the security and quality of the product itself? If you’re willing to lie about being the developer, how can we trust you with personal information or believe that you’ll actually deliver the product after getting paid? You've shown you’re willing to lie before, so why should anyone believe you now?

Maybe take a step back and rethink how you handle things. Respect your customers and be honest about who you are. It’s not that hard and goes a long way in building a solid reputation. Plus, nobody likes dealing with someone who acts like a clown when they get called out.
