- The server is up and running since last night with no issues.
- We received 300GBPS DDoS attacks last night according to our current provider, however it did not affect our server status and was mitigated successfully, without interrupting players connections.

Conclusion
- It appears, the most active servers, Electus, JoySRO, SRO-Royale and bunch of others were under target recently. We were receiving 200 to 300 gbps ddos attacks and because of the specific attack type (kind of exploiting the sro sockets), anti-ddos providers were not able to mitigate the attacks without interruption players connections. We worked with Hyperfilter, Dedistart, OVH, Amazon and several other companies to mitigate these attacks but it did not work. The final one that we are currently working with appears to be the most reliable one for SRO and can guard us against such large scale attacks. That being said, we are back online and the adventure continues in Poseidon server on it's 26th day.

DDOS is nothing new in the world of online games.

There is nothing anyone or any "professional" can do against. Any game is subject to DDOS and no one can do anything about it.

You can even go ahead and DDOS League of Legends servers if you would like to. The only difference is... LoL is a much bigger game than these pservers, and so they have a lot of resources to haunt your ass and track you down and end your life for even trying to DDOS them.

Electus was doing the right thing by going around finding different providers to protect against such a large scale DDOS attack. I don't know what else you want from them (or from a small private server), they did all they can.

Stop spreading bullshit about things you don't even know anything about or how they work. kthxbye
