Update to Lion's SVN - 010111 -> [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Changelist 01/01/11 (yes that was the date, not binary. :))

Another small update. I'm only doing little things as I continue to get a better feel for the program and C++ in general. In this update I've been focusing on learning how the LUA mixes in with the server. All I can say is very cool! Here is a little list of what has been changed/fixed/added. By all means nothing is set in stone or official. Just potential additions. Though my notes are getting longer and I still feel like I'm forgetting something.

Changes Summary:

1: Increased the rate at which a player heals while resting.
2: Changed scrips & enabled the ability to learn Poison I & II.
3: Fixed a math bug that mainly affected combat resistances. Maybe blue learning chances as well.
4: Disabled the TP gain during rest.
5: Added a missing item to vendors in Bastok.

Optional script Additions summary:

1: Fast Blade damage has been adjusted.
2: Wasp Sting damage has been adjusted + Poison effect added
3: Gust Slash damage has been adjusted + wind damage added
4: Shadowstitch damage has been adjusted + bind added
5: Viper Bite damage has been adjusted + Poison added
6: Cyclone damage has been adjusted + wind damage added (no AOE)
7: Energy Steal Damage has been adjusted + heals/steals health & not MP
8: Energy Drain Damage has been adjusted + heals/steals health & not MP
9: Dancing Edge damage has been adjusted.
10: Shark Bite damage has been adjusted.
11: Evisceration damage has been adjusted.
12: Mercy Stroke damage has been adjusted.
13: Mandalic Stab damage has been adjusted.
14: Mordant Rime damage has been adjusted + Gravity effect added.
15: Pyrrhic Kleos damage has been adjusted + Evasion down effect added.

I tested all the weapon skills at two intervals, low levels & level 75 with 101/240/300 TP which feel OK. Feedback is always appreciated. They really start off slow though because they are stat based. Hopefully the balance is a little better than the original game between the skills.

Also note that for whatever reason they don't stack with sneak attack/trick attack. I'll look into it but I'm probably a bit too inexperienced to add a fix. Further notes are in the RAR file.

when your at the register screen for new or old members click old member.. then type in a number id an pw as you would like a member an then when your at the account screen click "check files" an selete FFXi if it's listed.. if it an't then just delete some of the files in FFXi not the folders just the files under them.. an do a repair in pol this should take at least 6 to 8 hours depanding on ur computer.. then once that is done.. go to the pol folder an copy the db an paste it in the FFXI folder

that should help you

man that error message can happen with any program, if you see that just google what ever ****.dll file the application wants and download it. once you have it stick it in your system32 folder in c:\windows\system32

I see things as 'Found a bug!" .. "Oh, look another bug.".. "Well that worked.. But, it caused another bug." It's all fun for me.

Regarding Navicat:
Load Navicat
Left pane-> Double click localhost
Double Click pxidb (it will then turn green)
Right click pxidb
click "Execute SQL file"
Browse to the pxidb.sql file in the server directory. (Look in the misc folder)

At this point the sql tables will load. They won't show up immediately so at the top click 'View' and then 'Table' and they should show up.

Regarding the Error:
I think that file is part of Visual studio either 2010 redistributable or 2008. Either way:

Link for visual 2008 redist.

You are having far too many problems with this. When in doubt: google is your friend. :)

be honest i better off joining a server then making one i just ant see how far i can go before i throw in towl if you guys got any server working let me know i want to join:P
01/03/2011 00:41 dextermovies#508
I keep getting
rc\pXImain.cpp(253): error C2039: 'runspeed' : is not a member of 'CGlobal'
1> C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\pzi\include\CGlobal .h(20) : see declaration of 'CGlobal'
1>src\pXImain.cpp(253): error C2065: 'runspeed' : undeclared identifier
On your updated release there XWornDownX I think you may have missed a file when you put out your updates for lions. I am using mcvs 2010
Although under CGlobal.h you do have run speed defined, not sure why I am getting this error .. I am not a programmer, well I do c# kind of lol.

At this point you would probably be better off setting up your own server. There too many bugs and a public server just isn't worthwhile as crashes occur often not to mention the game is only marginally playable compared to the retail servers.

Here is a video guide by one of the original developers, Randomguy, for setting up a server. While it's for 0.6.3 the process is the same for everything floating around on these forums.

Part 1 -
Part 2 -
