One question I have... does the whole setup REQUIRE Java 8 version 45, or does it work on newer? Also does it work on Windows XP?

Server works on WinXP, and can be launched on any Java (maybe with some bugs on old versions)

For unknown reasons, they decided to obfuscate most of their stuff.
Probably to stop dataminers.
Since some strings are readable, it isn't encryption, more rather a kind of compression. (Should be LZMA, unless it's custom BS)
*Almost* the same way SEGA did with PRS.

The rest is easy to read, most files act as an archive. Just follow the yellow brick road offsets.

Btw, why do we still need the goddamn virus Java?

Downloaded everything fine but when i start the game and try to pick a persona and carslots it cant find the folders,iv looked everywhere on my machine cant find them anywhere,do i need to get these somwhere else? thanks

If you are importing a persona you would need it to import, look at the first page here berkay has a link for some random personas you can use or the server comes with persona's in it. here is the link for persona's [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

The thing works pretty well. I did actually install Java 8 update 60, but didn't erase 7u67. Also, I don't seem to be able to finish pursuits. I seem to be stuck at Pursuit Results screen with "Please Wait" message.

Fix Pursuit Hangups

In Atributes and bust xml in event folder edit and put RELAYPERSONA

Like this:
<PersonaId>RELAYPERSONA</PersonaId>

go to \www\nfsw\Engine.svc\event and replace PersonaId>XXXX</PersonaId with PersonaId>RELAYPERSONA</PersonaId in both of the files and pursuit will work.
