[Unofficial] World of Warcraft Unlockers and Bot Reviews

Haha, what do you have against Hekili? It’s literally the best for tanking and DPS across many specs. Back in Dragonflight Season 1, I made a pixel bot that followed Hekili for myself and I’ve been playing with it ever since. I hit Gladiator in PvP multiple times, and last season I reached 3.8k rating in Mythic+. I probably could have gone higher, but I didn’t play at all during the last two months of the season. And yeah, all of it was through Hekili, customized heavily.

The whole thing is set up with humanized reaction timers for pressing keys and interrupts, plus some combat logic so it doesn’t ninja pull or get baited when you’re AFK.

I never really shared the project with anyone because, honestly, anyone can make a pixel bot these days. What I noticed though is that most people go straight for Python scripts and external memory reading, which will inevitably get them flagged.

Honestly, I have nothing against Hekili, Hero, and MaxDPS addons; they're pretty good if you're planning on sitting stationary on a training dummy and doing some lower-end content, or if you're just getting carried.

In fact, almost all pixel bots utilize HeroLib to function at a high level; however, as you mentioned, it requires custom rotations and custom coding to consider various factors in order to even do high-end content. At the end of the day, Hekili is just mostly a Simc Port with very basic functions.

My problem comes down to when people make ridiculous claims that we all know are untrue.

It really started with EpicSync, when he claimed to sell custom rotations but was actually selling a hook for Hekili that worked with an unlocker. Meanwhile, you could literally get the same hook for free, and it was open source. He wasn't even doing anything custom; he was (and still is) basically robbing innocent people of $80 for a simple hook, with nothing really custom.

I think almost all pixel bots and memory bots have the option to use Hekili. It's a suitable alternative to use when a custom option isn't available. Still, for me, it won't be the first option if I have custom rotations available to me by skilled developers.

Good for you, though, if you reached these results; however, as you stated, you had to "customize it heavily". You're not just using it out of the box and getting Gladiator or 3.8k IO; honestly, that seems almost unbelievable to me unless carried. However, good for you if you were able to achieve such things with it.

For M+ I played tank, and I only played pugs, so there isn’t really a way to get carried at 19–20 keys as a tank. I didn’t change much, just fixed the active mitigation logic because the native one was meh for some weird reason, and manual CDs of course.

For Gladiators, it’s a walk in the park until 2.1k in any bracket, you just PvE them down. I just had to fix the interrupt logic in the state.lua so it doesn’t instantly interrupt people, also I created a list to interrupt only important casts. I got called out a few times before I fixed it, but after that there were zero callouts and I almost always interrupted correctly.

From ~2.2 to 2.6k was tough, you already need to know the game on a good level to be able to achieve it even with Pixel. So yeah, I give you that about PvP internal cheats with unlocker being much superior in PVP. There isn’t much you can do regarding the protected functions with pixel, but for PvE, as tank and DPS, Pixel hook on is miles ahead of any internal rotation bot.

Regarding other pixel bots, they all are using AHK. AHK is just outdated, and performance wise is subpar, also gets ppl banned randomly, just the other day I read in another topic the guy got banned running his own script, that's why I wrote my reader in C++. If you play tank/dps PVE, I would gladly give you a free key to try it out, I bet you would change ur mind.

Just outta curiosity, with your custom rotations, do you let the script decide ur CDs for you? just wanna know if some developer out there actually took the time to put the logic in there for every type of encounters, I assume with internal cheats would be easier.

I don't know anyone who uses AHK other than Morpheus Pixel Bot, and the core application of GGL uses it in some capacity. But every other pixel bot absolutely does not use AHK; most are C#/Rust/C++ with Lua Frameworks that utilize herolib.

Custom rotations vary based on whatever framework you use; it's not really one size fits all. Most have hardcoded logic and then also have variables that can override that hardcoded logic. There are some that use event timelines that best utilize CD usage, utilizing things like bigwigs, DBM, lorrgs, ect. Most of the really good stuff isn't even public; it's hidden in private discords to select people.

Clipper for me, I've already reached 2800 on DH with it; this was basically with my brain turned off.

When the unlocker is functioning normally, do our tools like Phoenix perform consistently? Or will they behave differently under different unlockers? This question has been confusing me, and I hope you can help.

Dear Tamed and everyone, hello.
I recently started using unlockers and Rotations, currently with Nn + Phoenix. What confuses me is that with the same class (e.g. Affliction Warlock), same gear, same scenario, and same boss fight, my DPS can vary by 50% between two attempts. I can’t find any reason. So I’m wondering if different unlockers might affect Rotation performance. For example, would Phoenix + Daemonic perform better?
Additionally, if I continue using the Nn unlocker, what reliable Rotations would you recommend? I’m a player focused on Mythic+ and raids.

I would love a recommendation for a good unlocker with healing and tanking support for MoP classic.

I wanted to check out GGL, but they do not offer a trial for MoP, and it is to expensive without even a chance to see it work.

Furthermore, I wanted to buy NilName to try it, but paying with "normal" currency did not work, and I do not have or use crypto.

NilName has its own PVE rotation, you know that right? It's an additional $10 on top of the $20 unlocker.

I personally haven't used Phx rotation, so I can't tell you. I heard many people I trust say they like it.

If you experience worse DPS on one unlocker compared to another, it's likely because the code is poorly optimized within the rotation framework, not the unlockers.

I'm not familiar with NN payment details; they should have some resellers who can assist you.

Perhaps try Project Sylvanas for MOP-related content. Rotations are not the best, but they will get you through most of the content.

Does Clipper support PVE? Specifically Mythic+ and raids? If supported, how effective is it? Can it predict monster skill interactions?

Those are in pixel bot reviews.

Define superior?

For some, not getting detected every month matters more than automatically casting spells on the ground or having access to LOS.

I mean, if we leave the risk of detection out of the equation, then anything memory-based is better than pixel hands down.

However, the risk of being banned from internals/Unlocker is higher, not to say that Pixel has not been detected, but Blizzard spends less time on those types of programs.

Most good pixel bots are private and inaccessible to the public; ones like GGL gatekeep users if they feel they're not a good fit, and all the other public pixel bots are sketchy at best with security.

If I had to say anything was truly superior in terms of low chance of getting banned, it would be, in my opinion.
  • GGLoader (Pixel or MetaEngine)
  • Tinkr unlocker for Mac
  • Rice Rotations if using 2PC (never use their 1pc option)
  • (a bunch of privates im not going to list)

Things I wouldn't recommend to people who care about their accounts
  • Public Unlockers/Internals or other public memory bots.
