Anyway, somehow there is a way to increase the chances to get a cool or decent reward in the roulette after defeating a boss. Just by freezing the enemy's HP and hitting crits as much as you can to increase the chances... though I have no official evidence about this, but it seems to work.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I have done NUMEROUS fights with both high damage numbers with epic overkills and fights with just enough damage to kill the enemy. I have done both challenge modes and normal modes. I have 5 starred entire season 1 and have 100% mastery of all season 2 chapters (1-4); there is NO evidence to support this claim. Just today I did far higher crits on the final boss battle, ended it way faster than before and I got a crap drop. Earlier today, same run, same boss, more turns and less overall damage, I had 3 CP drop...It is truly impossible to influence the outcome since it is server sided. And while it isn't random in the sense that what you get is determined even before you press on the roulette, the server-side loot management I believe is still random. So in other words, TL : DR, the server reward itself is random, but it is already chosen for you, you cannot modify it...not without CVE
