google is your friend. :) and if you are trying to make a server, i think first you should have a general knowledge about SQL.

I havent given up yet, can someone please help me.

CentOS vbox: 192.168.56.1

LINUX: ifconfig
Linux: 192.168.2.3

WINDOWS Files: AUAGENT.CONF, COMPACTAU.CONF, SERVER.INI, GATESERVER.INI, LOCALSAVESERVER.INI, MANAGERIP.INI, MANAGERSERVER.INI, Config.ini, ManagerConfig.ini

Also is there any other files that needs to be edited here?

Windows: table.xml

serverip does this change?

In those windows files where it say LINUX do i put:
CentOS vbox: 192.168.56.1 ?
or
Linux: 192.168.2.3 ?

LINUX Files: AUTHD.CONF, CARDSVRD.CFG, NAMESVRD.CFG, table.xml

Are those the only files i need to change:

Whats happening at the moment is that i cant create a char: (Same as below)

I use my Linux ip: 192.168.2.3 in auagent.conf and it doesnt want to connect to DB but when i use my vbox ip: 192.168.56.1 then it connects to the game db.

I have tried it both ways and restarted the windows side so many times my head hurts. Please help.

why do we need the complete user details for a single ban?...

so did any1 manage to disable the default password of 123 ive looked in tables windows and linux side to c what the default values are but there is no default so that isnt the problem so im kinda stuck here and has any1 found out how to insert coins that is last thing i need for my gamecp vote point system

I had this problem earlier, I just fixed it by changing something that I can't recall completely. But just a hind:

I changed the the IP from Linux to Windows in one config, I think its DBServer. Just check while I take time to reply you in few hour.

And also, for Linux IP, you have to use the IP that you got when you ifconfig (Centos) not the IP you get in ipconfig (CMD).

I get that over and over in GameSaveServer

I have realm up and running, and i login, but when i try create a character, nothing really happens.. No error window in client,

Why u need MySQL? Already installed on CentOS and MySQL Workbench already installed 2

Finally I'm able to log in the game. But there is funny thing is that it still shows "DB connect failed". Is it the source that save my character's information?

Solved, i forgot to edit dbsrv.cfg with the mysql password.. Its now up and running..

Hopefully i will run a server, in sweden, soon, i got a friend with tons of machines i can use for this.. Just wait :D

Was running KalOnline for some years, as the first private server ever. Now its overrunned.

do you need 2 computers to make your own server? one with windows and one with linux or ? i don't really understand i'm new to those kind of things

Well, you don't need two computers to run the server, you can just use VmWare or Virtualbox (recommended) and download the CentOS file that axel post. On the virtualbox, you just need to restore the CentOS and login as "Root" and password "reverse". If you don't know what virtualbox is, you just need to read some details about it.
