How does one fix a hack by banning all of their players while using legit items like Teleport to Markut scroll, using an AoE skill in a PvP duel or just you know, doing some PvE quests. Literally... you may have a crowded server but you might think about testing first.

Every logged in character is standing in Markut and the guys can't login into that char anymore.
Btw, that screenshot happened after a lots of players got banned for using Teleport Scrolls or did a few skills.

There was actually another Guild, but you were able to claim Territories more than once.


Could you explain the benefits of that great patch?

Just for clarity:
We are working day and night to resolve these issues. We know that the current result is not an acceptable standard but we‘d also appreciate some form of understanding.

4Ancient is currently the only server that is massively targeted by malicious groups. We were under severe time constraints when implementing this (hotfix) patch as cheats and hacks ruin the integrity of our game.

That said, we did also launch tests on our test server. The main issue was us not having enough testers online at the same time. While the patch had no issues on our test server, the effects of it massively varied on a bigger scale.

A lot of the afromentioned issues were resolved and we are giving it our all to patch up the remaining loopholes. Although we did have some trouble, I believe this emergency patch was of utmost importance.

Please note that our server is constantly under attack (for years) and we were managing quite fine until now. The main difference this time is server politics, into which I do not want to dive deeper. That’s nothing the public should be concerned about - I believe a normal player should just focus on playing and enjoy his time! On whichever Server that is, as long as 4Story as a whole survives.

The team apologizes for all the inconveniences caused. We will be giving out compensations once the situation is resolved.

You had several major buggs after you launched that Patch.
A patch, Which you had to do quickly cause of the hackers.

Players got banned, Territory war was bugged, players weren't able to log in.


And best of all the hackers were still there.


So could you just tell me in 1 sentences why this Patch was needed that quickly?

To your last question: I guess you didnt read Shellfish's post. Because of the hackers.

ok, for low IQ: The Hackers were still there after the patch.

I can confirm you that most hackers are gone. It’s just a few loopholes that are open and being worked on, but the situation has improved significantly.

Please consider that not every hacker is doing is doing it blatantly obvious and most people try to get an unfair advantage by farming. This is not possible anymore without getting instantly flagged/banned.

Once again, I can assure you that we are using all of our capacities to bring back order and to deliver on all the points in our patch notes.

Why shall they waste their time everyday?

The patch got released on monday morning.
The hackers proofed on the territory war on Monday that they can still hack after that patch.
Not needed to destory the tw everyday.

So the patch brought nothing except buggs and unjustified bans.
