@spiro774

You can get two kind of errors with your settings file:
-"Can't connect, check your settings.txt"
-"Settings not found or invalid"

With the first error you username/password is wrong or the mainserver/server settings.
With the second error you use a settings.txt file from a previous version that isn't compatible any more.

I'm sure when you check you username/password and server again it will work.
Also I would recommend to upgrade your .Net Framework to 3.5 you can find the link in the startpost.

@Beastygirl
The space isn't the problem here ;). For some strange reason the forum adds random spaces when you copy/paste your text here. Happens almost every time when someone posts his settings.

Hello.

I have multiple bugs, makes the software useless.
Note that i have many towns on many islands.
The Bot doesnt save (even if i click "save" button repeatedly") the number of army after a restart. So i have to set them every time in each city.
Even if i set them and start the farming, sometimes it sends out 2 attacks in a row to one farm, so when the second army hits the mood is often below the minimum amount i set. I lost a big number of units last night because of this.

I play on hu2.grepolis.com under w7 x64, .net installed.

Thanks for your feedback AxxxoKovax.

Let's start with your first issue. Currently the save button is only for saving your building queue. An option to save your army settings is requested some time ago but haven't had the time yet to add that. I can understand that you missed that because there are just to many comments to read them all. But this feature will come for sure.

About the above problem. That is just not possible. After each timeout the bot will only send one attack in each town. And before the attack is send it will first check the mood/strength and it also checks for previous attacks.
You could probably fix this issue my changing your min. mood setting or decreasing the numbers you attack with.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

//edit
Do you have more then one town on the same Island?
It could be that two different towns attack the same farmer. Let me know if this is the case. I will have to check then if the bot checks this correctly.

a more convenient way to select one's cities would be nice. it might have been suggested before, sorry if that's the case.
05/16/2010 13:57 Utharnl#458
No, that hasn't been suggested before.
Do you have an idea to make it more convenient? I was thinking of a drop down menu but maybe you some other ideas?

Great program, thanks! I have some questions though.
I think it is working, but I am not sure.

When I set my army for support and attack, it seems to send all the units I put in there at once. Is it designed so that I can send... say 50 of each type of unit to "support" in separate waves or does it have to be all at once? If that is so then it would seem that I can only use 1 type of unit for support (obviously I can use more but practically it would be inefficient). Any help or instruction on how to set up the farming would be greatly appreciated.

Lastly a suggestion. Since the program knows strength and it is pretty well known how many units it takes to increase strength the maximum/visit (15 points), would it be possible to put a calculator into the program that knows how many strengthening waves to send at 1 village to bring it up to 100%? (if it is at 50% strength it sends 5 waves of 50 archers and then moves on to the next village)

yes, drop down seems best at least i wouldn't know anything better right now :)

select list = better than drop down

you could for example select multiple cities that way and que matching at some point

i had a problem with the EN server and when i checked the settings.txt the number on the server was 3. . . . . . . . en3.grepolis.com infact the correct number for EN server is 6 change the text to en6.grepolis.com and save :> hope i have helped!

@quincyquance
Yes it is designed that it send all units in the army view at once. You should use it like this: If you have for example 100 swordsman you enter in the army view that you want to use 20 swordsman. The bot will now send multiple attacks of 20 swordsman to attack farmers.
I have already collected some information for making a calculater for support but haven't done anything with it yet. It's on the todo list for the bot but it could take some time before it's ready.

@jago
Will add it to the todo list :)

@ransombot
Nice idea but that will cause too many problems ^^

@browny2010
There are multiple EN servers so the number is different for anyone who plays on a different server. For everyone that has problems finding the correct server you just have to log into the game in your browser and look in the address bar.

@Everyone
I'm still busy at the moment finishing my internship so haven't much time. Maybe I will release some small updates in the coming weeks but probably I will wait till the end of June.
