the server died , they fuck all the accounts and gonna reset it to get more donations

Didn't take long for someone to get upset and come up with some ridiculous statement it seems.

As a result of a prolonged attack against our host we have suffered a corruption of the raid array which was hosting our server and recent backups. As a result we are looking at a 4 month roll-back or a reset.

We are currently working on getting a server back online and evaluating our options, anyone wanting clarity on what this means for their donations over the past 4 months can contact us on the forum.

for all it was great server , hard to find private classic server like it , but its not trusted , u can play for months to make good gear and suddenly reset

dude you fucking dumb ? Korvacs is saying that they've been having some strong attacks that has hurt the place where they stored their back ups, and the only back up they had out of that host is 4 months back, that's it.
You should consider thinking with your brain.

there is any plans on a US based server?

It is something we have thought about and in the future we may open a second server state side, though we will have to see how things go given this latest set back. It'll be announced if such a decision is made.

Yeah... Because destroying a server with 700+- players, our reputation, and losing 100's of players is definitely 'good' for business isn't it....?

We were attacked, we didn't prepare for it and our host didn't have redundant backups as they were supposed to.

We let the community decide on how to procede, and anyone that donated in game will get compensated once again.

I'm very sorry if you feel that way, but in the end we will do our best to learn from our msitakes and make up for it for all of our loyal players.

well personally i don't think that this is made up
i've been here for a while (as a player for 4 months) and then for the last couple of days watching what happened here and there
and i don't think that janix did that
do you think destroying a community worth some extra cash ?

trust me buddy , it takes time and money to build such a priceless community with +700 players in a stable bugless server

and the most that made me trust janix and spend 4 months playing l2h is that janix made a balanced donation and sensible one , which proof that it isn't all about money for him
i donated there and i've had a full 2 socket set (shared between me and friend) , and i don't care about what i lost because l2h worth another chance and it worth bearing with it

No and no, though I suspect its because we we're so successful and someone wanted some of our success.

is it fair for ppl who was playing and buying items for money to fuck them and equal them new player
u had to rollback and new player u would compensate with 5xp or any shit of these u r making now

u can't deny that last 4 months alot of ppl had 2soc items and they used to buy dbs from other so no big donations !
u preferred reset to gain and to revive ur server
i was idiot to waste time and money for dishonest server like urs

if u see a lot of players have 2soc items , be sure that GM (Janix) will reset the server or close it

1: Why didn't I rollback the server?
a) Because the community voted and chose to reset. Also because any new players that started within 4 months would have been screwed over, and I didn't want that. I wanted it to be fair for everybody.

2: Why did I screw people who spent money?
a) Anyone that "spent money" (Donated?) was compensated their donations back in game. So no, they were not "fucked" as you so aptly put it.

3: You will get money if you reset!
a) No, actually. We were up to 756+- players online. By resetting we lost 100's of players, got a bad reputation, AND compensated everyone who had donated (meaning they dont NEED to donate again). If I wanted money, I would not have compensated anyone, i would not have screwed up my own server, and I certainly would not have made a classic server in the first place (with the only donation DBs).

4: I reset because people had 2 socks?
a) What difference does it make what items people have? Everyone already had 2 socks.. Those players quit, new players come and replace them, and in turn, donate. But, as I said, I never made this (CLASSIC) server for money. I made it for my friends who wanted to play a classic server.

5: I preferred reset to revive my server?
a) My server had 500-700 players online daily. Please explain how reducing that, damaging our reputation and having people like you bitching at us non-stop is reviving the server? Or HOW the server needed reviving when it was doing SO well? Lol.

To conclude, stop trying to give us a bad name just because you didn't like the decision your friends and the other players made to reset. I understand you don't like that decision, and you are entitled to your opinion.. But we were attacked, and our server was ruined because of it.

Did we shut the server down and run away? No.
Did we not give anyone back donations? No.
Did we invest a LOT of money in a new server? Yes.
Did we work DAMN HARD to bring Love2Hate back for everyone? Yes.

So in conclusion, thankyou for your completely misguided input. Even though you keep saying the same thing over and over again and we keep answering your questions over and over again, yet you are too blind to see or believe it.
