My personal review about the game;

It is not right for the community manager/team manager to play the game, it is not right for almost the entire support team to be gathered in 1 family, it is not right to refuse people with better potential to become game masters, just to make a community manager's friend a game master. These damage the game itself. Besides being a PVE server with probably the best potential, it also has one of the worst managements I have ever seen in my life. As almost 6 months old player I had a few tickets and in all tickets they didnt even ask if it was helpful or not. They just close the ticket. Many people complain about the support system/support members, including those who actively play the game. And you guys still make the same mistake. Gathering almost all support staff into one family.

Hi,

If you feel like a ticket hasn't been correctly handled, you can request the ticket to be escalated to a supervisor, up to the head team.

Also, I don't really understand what our community manager/team managers have to do in all that:
- our community managers (Snake/Kamex) are pushing for rewarding events for players, they are not directly involved on the support unless really needed
- our team manager (Sound) supervise our support team with his experience.

If you feel like your application deserved a different result, feel free to open an application ticket and ask your case to be re-reviewed.
I don't actually think you can objectively assume that someone has a better potential than someone else.

Actually, I can disclose the reasons why we'd refuse someone from joining our support team (I believe all those reasons are reasonable reasons):
  • Bad English
  • Not enough playtime
  • Lack of time
  • Applying for selfish reasons


Of course none of us are perfect, we are all humans and if you feel like we are doing something wrong and have examples, feel free to open a ticket, we'll surely review it and avoid making the same mistake twice :)

If you disagree with a Game Design decision or if you have ideas on how to improve the gameplay, you can do suggestions on our discord in the #game-suggestion channel.

We read and discuss all of them internally with team members and active testers that actually play the game and are able to give us input whenever the Game Design team has doubts or questions.

Do you have any example of something "out of touch" ? Something more precise than 2 sentences and a simpson's video might be a bit more useful to us if we want to improve the server.

First event of the "rotating special events" was 20% fame boost. Even if it's aimed towards helping new comers. Kinda weird. Some raids are done by few players. yet it takes months to get small redesign

Also suggesting anything in the mentionned channel seems quite pointless as we can guess how it is handled behind the doors. Like anyone who talks about anything regarding balance/design outside of defined circle in the #englishchat gets ridiculed by either someone from testing team or gd team without having a real conversation. It must be somehow close with the suggestions.
Maybe that behaviour is explained by the team having well defined view on how the game must be. Therefore if anyone suggests anything that is not in the view gets denied. But obviously that pov is not fit anymore on a server that old and it feels on the server activity
Or maybe, it's due to the circlejerk between testers/gds. It is understandable as these are old players and know each other well. But consider removing some people and adding new ones to refresh that. Espicially in the game design team
To make it short : narrow minded gd team with a circlejerk issues between some members of staff/testers

Getting 20% more fame does create more incentive for players to do raids doesn't it? More raids being started also help new players finding teams. It might not help as much as "x% chance of getting a new raidbox", but it still helps.

About the "it takes months to get small redesign" part, as I said, you can make suggestions.

So you don't do suggestions because "we can guess" and "it must be somehow close" ?

Asking something publicly on a Discord is completely different from doing an actual suggestion. But suggestions need to be thought through to be something viable for the activity and the economy of the server in the long run.

That being said, we do discuss ALL suggestions internally and keep track of them. Sometimes we'll decline them of course, but if you make a suggestion and never receive an answer, it's most likely because we're discussing it or that it'll be implemented in the future.

Most of the recent changes have been motivated by two main reasons:

- Player Suggestions
- Feedbacks from Game Designers who DO play the game

Indeed, we do have a "view" for the server, especially on the "economical balance" aspect, so it doesn't end up with uncontrollable inflation or an insane generation of resources.

We do that on a regular basis, and we have recently recruited 4 new testers and 2 new support members. Our applications are permanently open, to be tester, game designer or game master. I'm quoting one of our Community Managers here:

Listening to your concerns about PvP not feeling rewarding enough, we have revamped the entire reward system from PvP activities. Instead of activity-specific rewards, we have decided to use the same reward item: Battle Token. This new item can be used to exchange with the old AoT/RBB rewards, as well as new ones we have added, such as Tattoo Chest or Upgrade Chest. Additionally, there will be a main reward you can obtain, rotating every 4 weeks, starting with Lucky Rat. You will be able to convert your current Mithril Medals, Gold Medals and Rainbow Coins to Battle Tokens at the Arena.

Gold and fame rewards of RBB have been increased, too: 30kk gold and 300k fame for winner, 5kk gold and 30k fame for the loser team. We have also implemented the requested Rejoin and Surrender features, enabling you to join back a RBB match if you lose your connection, or vote on surrendering if the battle seems hopeless. You can use `$ff` command to initiate the voting process 3 minutes and 30 seconds into the RBB.
