i would just like to see a true 9d awakened clone pserver with just reduced prices in item mall finally but the chances are close to 0 at this point :D

I agree, a 9d awaken clone would be nice, but then again any english server other than classic would be a welcomed sight also, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen either.

Honestly a Pserver that isn't high rate does not interest me in the least, acclaim, gc, g1, they destroyed any patience i had for low rate pservers or Vanilla ones i guess all we can do is pray that someone gets the hint and opens a server for the community to play on but as you said that is probably never going to happen.

Low rates i agree, vanilla not quite. It's not all that bad if you tweak it up a bit. If you don't go full retard, you can get a better experience than Acclaim without falling down the pit of unbalanced or the pit of power creep. Even without modding, the old DB still has a lot of good stuff around, with many things that we left by past events and many that never even got used.

Once you start mucking with it, the one thing you realize is that "our vanilla" was a really crippled cut down version of 9D Kor. Why? Greed i guess... Minimum viable product, and remained MVP since then.

GC was good because at last there was gear where mobs would die quick, it felt breezy, but overall i agree.
Yeah when classic was opened GM said this is the one that's gonna last and i was laughin so hard, but i guess he was right after all.. xD Not sure how tho

Are these guys still active & planning to release their server?

I subscribed to their forums awhile back and they've posted 2 new post within the last 24 hours speaking about progress or things that they're working on. I haven't enjoyed 9D in a while but I hope this Hardcore server releases to give us something different.

How do i apply beta?

Sadly it’s still the old version of the game no matter how many twists and ideas you will have. People got used with attack speed, new combine system, pets, etc. The old version was good in 2007. What I personally see it will be a blast in 9d community is to have a private with same content as the officials. Chances are very low though. Anyways gl with your server!

No other private server has started off with a 1st role based server. The only reason we plan on doing it, is so we can strip the game and build accordingly by scaling a lot of content that was pushed out on maps that didn't warrant its release. Some of the content/features we're already using in the Private Beta literally doesn't exist on any other server. We're not adding twist and ideas to the game, we're developing it to our liking.


9DFarmer is also working on a private server that should be a better, cheaper & more creative version of the officials, because the officials are shit shows who has no creative brain and just translates the Korean text then adds unscaled content to their version of the game.

It seems you've romanticized the past without truly understanding your audience today. We are not the same 10-14 year olds with an endless expanse of free time. Over 16 years have passed since Acclaim's open beta, and most of us have grown up, shouldering real-world responsibilities like families and demanding jobs. Your server appears to be a tone-deaf attempt, expecting players to pour hours into it daily. Newsflash: the majority of your current community simply doesn't have that luxury.

The only viable path forward in the private server scene, in my eyes, is a fully free-to-play server (no item mall) where players can rapidly ascend to OP status and engage in uninhibited PvP encounters. By all means, you can still introduce challenging "hardcore" content that demands hours of dedication—but those rewards should be purely cosmetic. This way Players are able to flaunt the fruits of their hard grind visually, but it should not tilt the balance in PvP.
