[FAQ] Zath Conquer

I decided to try zath conquer on launch as the appeal of a bugless client proved too much to resist. Upon starting the game with my archer now doing 360 scatters in overly dense spawns and lvling to 95 stood still scattering at tombats i decided to go exploring. The guildwar area proved interesting both in and outside the castle with a quick hop over the gate, feature not a bug. I went to a pk event 5 and out on my archer only to find me and a water tao unable to hit each other with no fb or ss and sat with no event timer. Eventually i scrolled to tc only to find myself still in pk mode another wonderful client feature. I needed to level weapon prof so it was off to tg where a warrior was pking ppl with dash and they dropped their invent, another great unique feature. Promo centre faired no better with another massacre ongoing. He did try to stop the pain in furniture store by adding a guard, didnt stop the body count tho. The demand for horses was great on zath from the discord so i checked out the stables only to find no portal to exit. Finally i read world chat seeing a poor noob stuck inside the die store experiencing the same pain. Despite my pointing out of these small inconveniences the gm seemed to think banning ppl was the best course of action rather than thanking them and fixing the "features" on his 99.9% bugful client.

Honestly this was a fun "adventure" playing this server for a few hours. And by fun adventure I mean a complete and total mess.


Summary:
Players can attack anyone almost anywhere, you can even die to players in TG. People started to report the issue and the owner couldn't take any constructive criticism at all. A group of players started to find more and more bugs while reporting it and it ended up with them all getting banned. The funny part is that this group of players was the main player base because as I write this the server is completely empty with under 10 players, maybe 15 including them before they got banned. This shouldn’t be called a server launch, this is a glorified alpha test of a server.


The Good?
The experience rate is really high so I guess that could be a good thing? You don’t have to play more than a couple hours to reach a high level. Has some other small neat features that a decent amount of servers don’t have. Scatter being a full 360 degrees is probably stupidly overpowered but it’s fun to use.


The Bad?
There’s a bunch of bugs that prevent some things from happening and require you to relog to fix them, you can get trapped on some maps with no way out. Players can attack you on almost any map and you will drop items when you die, TG is not safe to AFK in. Mining is so convoluted since you get some type of mining level every time your pickaxe hits the ground and it seems like it would take a week to get a single level (of which there are 130). Also for mining, this aims to be a “classic” server and yet mining is anything but classic, you can get DBs and gold ore only in TC/jail. Tao skills have no cooldown so you can cast them stupidly fast, you can also level heal on someone with full HP. Monsters will get bugged out if they target someone who’s dead or out of range and they will just become statues. There’s probably a bunch more that I’m just forgetting off the top of my head.


The Unforgivable.
Now let’s talk about the owner. Reading everything before this message in this thread is more than enough to understand where this is coming from but here goes. This owner for some odd reason thinks everyone is against him. If someone comes in and says something even so slightly negative he will go full attack mode on them and call them a troll. Someone just joined the discord to ask how many people are playing on the server and slightly mentioned that the answer was lower than he expected, which got a lovely response by the owner. He even told everyone to shut up minutes before the launch because some people were excited but they were apparently too chatty for him. But I think the best was when some players were just trying to have a little fun and asking about horses in the discord and the owner just went on a full banning spree for anyone who mentioned a horse. Someone even just reacted to a message with a horse emoji and got banned without saying anything else ever in that discord. The problem with this stuff is I have no way to prove this since the owner constantly clears the discord messages from anything he doesn’t deem fit, that right there should be a massive red flag to anyone. I was personally in the discord for maybe a day and saw the general channel get completely nuked 3-4 times.

Let's talk about this server's stance on real money/world trading because this is a super interesting one. It’s listed multiple times with completely different rules, some saying it’s banned and some saying it’s not. From what I can personally gather is you’re not allowed to sell/buy items from players but you’re fully allowed to sell/buy gold from players. AS LONG as you include the owner as a middleman so he can take his cut of the share, not even joking that was his words to someone who asked. This is a super interesting stance and I’d love to see how this plays out in the long run.

To expand on what was stated earlier, multiple people were banned for reporting bugs so I suggest you don’t report any if you choose to play here. The owner got all defensive and never attempted to casually chat with these players about the issues, they even tried to have some fun by explaining there’s a bug and seeing how good he was at problem solving and attempting to find the bug himself. This was a horrible mistake because that was immediately seen as an attack on him. In the end he told them that he was going to have some fun and just outright IP/account banned that group.

Now what are the plans for this server to get more players? The owner has apparently mentioned (once again can't get proof since server nuked) multiple times that he's trying to buy his way to the top of xtremeTop100 and that will solve all his player problems. This once again proves the validity of that website and what type of people use/abuse it. I really hope he learns that the server itself has to attract people and paying for it wont help in the long run since most players will run into the same issues that are listed here.

You’re going to be able to see a lot of what I mentioned in the response to this message. I guarantee you it’s going to be some attempt to call this a troll or attack and that we should go back to whatever server we came from. That’s not warranted at all to some players that genuinely wanted to try out the server to see what it’s like and ending up uncovering something they didn’t expect at all. Anyone who plays this server should expect the same response from attempting to give some constructive criticism.


Final Verdict?
Probably spend your time somewhere else.

Full Disclosure: A couple of my friends were banned and we stopped playing shortly after launch.

Here's a little bit of perspective that should have been clear from this guy's interaction with Spirited/Fang earlier in the thread:

Energetic claimed the server was bugless so a few friends and I went to take a look. We tried reporting a few bugs to him but the frequency of our reports made him angry and so he began to ban the lot of us. Ultimately when we realized he didn't take constructive criticism well we decided to walk away as we believe he is just a lost cause.


Feature not a bug:
1. If you join a PvP event your PK mode is changed to PK, upon exiting the event you will not be reverted to your previous PK mode, instead you will remain on PK mode. I actually witnessed the interaction and report of this bug while passing by in twin city and pulled it from the chatlog:

Actual bugs

1. Cyclone attack speed enhancement does nothing
2. Damage formula appears to be broken with regards to bows and arrows
3. Taos appear to have no cooldown on the rate of cast of thunder and probably others
4. Durability seems to drop insanely quickly. Through the course of normal leveling your items will simply break
5. You can kill players in Training Grounds
6. Stables has no exit portal
7. If you press escape to get out of an in-game menu the shopping mall will bug out and you will not be able to open it until you re-open the client.
8. Scatter attacks in 360 degree radius. Although this may be a feature? It is absurd.
9. Socketed shields can drop and can be socketed in BI. Energetic took the server down shortly after launch to "fix" this but upon restart they continued to drop.

Formerly I had respect for this server as I saw a flurry of clientside updates that some other servers did not have. Upon investigating it seems the server owner simply paid someone named Emre to perform these changes. This may be a con for some as clientside changes are not really something Energetic will be capable of without outsourcing it to another developer.

Look, every newly released server will have some bugs but what's really telling is the administration's response to both criticism and bug reporting. I'd advise you to spend your time elsewhere.

Nah the owner can't control his anger. He ban me without any reason, That's why I quit. This is a 5517 source though which is from @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] Leaked source and then he just downgrade it to 5017 and he was claiming he built it from scratch which is his funny though, He get the second RB quest code from the ConquerVision source (also 5517 downgrade to 5103 version). So the main problem with this source he was using is the Damage Calculation which is a messed and much more bugs on this. I bet @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is laughing right now for using his leaked source.

Nice GM, banned me for reporting few bugs. After 2-3 hours of testing this server i gave up, nothing is same like Conquer used to be. The guys above wrote the most problems.
For me, the server looks more like a server made just to milk players out of money. The GM said he worked months on this source, testing it for a lot of time. Most of the bugs are still there, he doesnt know how to fix them.. also doesnt care much about that.

You can't control your anger you have to come to your senses. (I got banned too) You said server was bugless already players have found 100x bugs :eek: so many bugs are reported that he can't get on his nerves anymore. Because there are 1000x more bugs on the server but why are you worried ? you have 10 project managers tell them to help. PM 1 = midoelg#3571 >>> Eron Conquer owner. PM 2 = Alfred#6024 >>> ConquerTimes owner. Idk about other PMs but sure they have their own servers. :mofo: I guess it looks like he invited all server owners to become partners so he can do all his work for free :pimp:

Yeah you are right :) Observe this server and it will shutdown within a month if they can get a profit of it and after a month he will create another server again. and so on and so forth :) This guy can't handle anger and he was like a kid crying in the store.

It's a great "classic" server where players have 2 sock shields after nearly 2 days :kekw:

I've tried the server, and it is bad, really bad. You can excuse some bugs (even if it claims to be bugless...), but some issues are so obvious that it should have been catched way before with simple tests. The view range and the screen system are awful, with NPCs and monsters popping on the screen. It is 2022, not 1990... The damage system is purely broken (how can someone with full normal gear gets 1 damage from mobs like 5 levels higher?). You can break the FB bot so it won't move anymore. And it goes on. The owner paid to make client edits and seems to be clueless about how to manage a server. No, saying to a player to don't do X because it triggers a bug is not a solution. So yeah, please don't play that server which will disappear soon even if he paid to be top 3 of XtremeTop100 with his 10-15 online players.

To be honest - Im playing on Zath atm *Yes im one of these "12-15" online people
and all bugs i reported got fixed after maint. even if it uses weird dmg calc on mobs (Like alot of server's around atm and im not going to point them) dmg vs players seems to be normal. I think it would be way easier to report something then wait a bit and check if it's "fixed" instead of telling these bugs still exists etc.
I played on tons of Pservers so far and all of them had bugs, but i didnt see any of ya posting in they'r topics about "How bad these server's" are etc.

I also read that part with "No anger control" and i know it might be frustrating
but try to switch sides. How would u guys react if everyone around will try to "Attack" u in all possible ways ? I prolly would pay back with same stuff or just simply block/mute person who's attack me
