1) do you know if the files in the download link on the first page by lilnani have been fixed, I noticed MohcenMaher seemed to have sorted files.
2) I have altered the gameserver.opt.to 20190102
3) Could you advise on what client i should use with this server

I do not want to make a private server that others can connect to but rather just a little server that my children and I can play on especially during this lockdown.

The file has not been corrected & it will work only in local so only 1 player connected at a time so impossible that all your children can connect on it at the same time because you can only connect with the ip: 127.0.0.1

But you can use it to learn how to create content.

so if i understand correctly, it does not work with all servers .... but in case, how to use it with a server to play locally.

Used the same method as for installed 9.5.2
You can play with the ip 127.0.0.1 but 9.6.2 is ultra buggy.
I have listed the known bugs & no it will not be fixed by mohcen.
Because he is now on another build which modify it & he will not share this version, at least not so soon because he wants to open his server I cross in september...

It should work with official 9.6.2 client.
