I dont see u ppl so wrry about this stuff. I just filled my bag 4 times last night. The new mz is actually better than wen i have the big metdove monster.dat with wat-fire lvl 100 hunting than me now. My rate of gathering of mets actually jumped 400 pc per 4 hours of play.

anyway this are my result of my study:

[MeteorDove]
SizeAdd=1
ZoomPercent=300
MaxLife=10000
Level=32
BornAction=315
BornEffect=MBStandard
BornSound=none
ActResCtrl=0
ASB=5
ADB=6
BodyType=0
TypeID=8415
AntiType=0

second one
[MeteorDove]
SizeAdd=1
ZoomPercent=100
MaxLife=10000
Level=32
BornAction=315
BornEffect=MBStandard
BornSound=none
ActResCtrl=0
ASB=5
ADB=6
BodyType=0
TypeID=8416
AntiType=0

Results: Both fake meteordove and real were affected even i only changed 1 monster.

[MeteorDove]
SizeAdd=1
ZoomPercent=50
MaxLife=10000
Level=32
BornAction=315
BornEffect=MBStandard
BornSound=none
ActResCtrl=0
ASB=5
ADB=6
BodyType=0
TypeID=8415
AntiType=0

second one
[MeteorDove]
SizeAdd=1
ZoomPercent=200
MaxLife=10000
Level=32
BornAction=315
BornEffect=MBStandard
BornSound=none
ActResCtrl=0
ASB=5
ADB=6
BodyType=0
TypeID=8416
AntiType=0

Results: Again both changed either both small or both big.

I got piss

[MeteorDove]
SizeAdd=1
ZoomPercent=100
MaxLife=99999
Level=32
BornAction=315
BornEffect=MBStandard
BornSound=none
ActResCtrl=0
ASB=5
ADB=6
BodyType=0
TypeID=00083
AntiType=0

second one
[MeteorDove]
SizeAdd=1
ZoomPercent=100
MaxLife=10000
Level=32
BornAction=315
BornEffect=MBStandard
BornSound=none
ActResCtrl=0
ASB=5
ADB=6
BodyType=0
TypeID=8416
AntiType=0

Results: Still same effect no matter wat changes i do. Both are exactly alike whether the fake and the real are both big or both small.

All of this study are done in metzone finding both a real met dove which do 50 damage to me and i do 290 per zap and the fake one which do 1 and i do 1.7k + damage. Ive use the decrypter for this.

Ok listen some1 check if this result is because of a serverside programming. Or a program in game that we have on our pc. :P

hey I have the decripter and it only changes ur data like if u try 2 put arrows for example to cost 100 silver it still asks you 3400 silver for speed arrows,so only you can seee like that and it still doesnt ask for only 100 silver
01/19/2006 23:07 DarkSkull#36
So you mean the "ZoomPercent" doesn't do anything now?

Final Conclusion We can make:

Meteordoves Are Now Server-Side Damage and ID controlled....Editing EITHER entry Can make EVERY dove (real and Fake) Small/Big.

Until Someone finds a better method to Crack this, Just have an archer, And scatter until you find a dove that takes a LOT less damage than the others.

i'm not much of a programmer, much less a hacker, and i'm a total newb to this community

but there is no way that the metdoves are entirely serverside if the file still exists on our computers.

the server runs some sort of program that checks the clients ini files for changes and sets them to defaults. if someone would be able to intercept the packets (?) it sends when forcing the clients ini files to default, then i think that the metdoves would change.

Pretty big project... maybe someone with a little more expertise than me can take it up. I would suggest testing it out using COProxy. Of course, its entirely possible TQ got smart and made the files serverside completely and left the files on our computers to throw us off.

edit:: more believable is the fact that TQ cut corners and while making the met dove files serverside, cut corners and left them behind o.O

to what I discover, second meteor dove (8416) is the main and second meteordove. Whatever it is edit in the second meteordove, it will be the same as the fake. The first meteor dove (8415) has no effect because I tried removing and changing thing in it and it did not bother the real nor the fake dove.

The first Entry is Belived to be the "Old Met dove" The second one is The "New Metdoves"

Well, As far as a program to filter a change...It obviously Doesn't revert it to Default, Because i edited to second one to be smaller, and I found a Real Metdove, and it was small too. (What im saying is the changes are there but the 2 Seperate mobs are most likely Serverside)

Oops, Double Post.
01/20/2006 01:16 Lurker3#42
Yup... confirmed as server-side.

Editing the Monster.dat changes all MeteorDoves (The one that drops 5... and the ones that dont).

The only way to find the 5-drop dove now is to check damages (it does to you... or you do to it).

I'd recomend a Trojan>Archer for cycloned scatter to find drop-5 dove faster :?

to explain this to all the not so computer savvy people out there (if I am even right) haha I will try in the easiest possible way... basically the data of what the doves look like and all that stuff is stored on our computers.... the data that controls what they drop and how much damage they do is controlled by the server so basically all that will be edited if we try to edit the files on our computers is the look of all the doves. if I have said anything wrong please let me know? im a comp noob haha
01/20/2006 04:28 zato0056#44
ya.... one thing... for some reason people can't change one dove and not the other. which leads me to believe there is something serverside that prevents that. (obvious at this point)
01/20/2006 09:39 R3D)(ORS3#45
maybe u can edit it instead of making the dove big or small, why u change it by changing color '' i think i have idea ...
