*UPDATE*
Originally the plan for the server was to wipe current servers and launch a DB8 server cap server (most suggested start level by people on forums/discord). However the GM had plans to create his own 9dragons client using modern coding methods and a modern play engine. This task would have taken a few months (anwhere up to 6 months) if the GM had to work on pushing updates for the DB8 server and work on recoding the game. So it was in the best interest of the server to delay the launch of the DB8 server and work on finishing the code for a custom 9D client first.
What are the benefits?
Being able to rewrite the code for 9Dragons allows the GM to basically make his own version of the game. This essentially allows him to create his own tools and will allow for things such as but not limited to:
*refine clothes
*+20 refine
*damage cap change (possible but tricky)
*creation for new quests
Once the client is done, the GM will have access to tools which previously wouldn't have been possible on private servers. We understand that people are excited and want to know when the wipe will occur. We are grateful that the 9dragons community still gets excited even after 11 years have passed since the open beta. I know waiting sucks but trust me this is so worth it.
