OpenNos Raids

This Nostale community is really shitty...
Too much leechers, too much toxic people, not enough of "good persons".
I never saw a community like that...

Nah mate, the problem is people crying because of "leechers" wtf they expect when they are releasing something ? People use it and then you cry ? LOL

People were good, but don't forget, this opennos "crew" were the ones to start flaming others for asking "dumb" questions and then they say "we will always stay opensource" but start forcing you to pay for raids. It's just a joke tbh, when they start getting backlash for stupid decisions, he is deciding to stop ? Honestly never saw such babies in my life.

Anyway, I had high hopes for this project for a long time but it's honestly become the biggest disappointment so. Long live the OpenNos lel

raids are not sources... exactly like packet.txt are not sources. No one is forced to pay anything for raid if he want to write the xml by himself it's quite simple and exactly the same system as timespace (where it seem's i'm the only one who wrote one...)
When i started this project i was expected for contributions but the reality is no one give a fuck to contribution to this project. It seems there is at least 5 critical bugs that are not even reported as issue...
How do you want it to be fixed if you don't even take the time to report bugs...
and for the fact we are flamming people for dumb question : when the answer is written in the readme seriously it's a shame to ask...

Okay, this whole conversation is really starting to give me an absurd amount of cancer.

Its really funny to me how narrow minded you've been lately. I've lost an absurd amount of respect for you.
You started an OpenSource project. Great. That's awesome. I love(d) it. A lot of people love it. A project is set to OpenSource so outsiders can contribute to it, you're completely right about this, no questions asked. Whats really annoying me, is that you are EXPECTING people to contribute. Especially in this section... I mean come on dude, what did you expect? Did you really expect alot? A great amount of people in this section (I included) do not have the skills NEEDED to contribute. All we can do is report stuff. They way you guys handle many people in this section is definitely going to reduce the amount of people contributing. I get that you are getting angry at repeadedly asked questions, but this will never change.

Guess what, some people just don't find bugs or don't notice them. They play the game, something happens and they may or may not notice it and go along with the game either way. Some people find bugs and use them for their own advantage. Welcome, this is life. As much as it sucks.

Also, stop fucking crying about people shittalking your project. Holy shit, dude.
Did you really not expect this to happen? ESPECIALLY with the amount attention you attracted by being a big hit in this section. If you can't handle that (negative) fame, don't start such a project. It's as simple as that.

Now if you'd excuse me, I'll be waiting for captain Rorc to delete my post again. o7

Report = contribute... thats what I expect from people who don't have enough skill. But even that isn't done people are not reporting anything...
I don't really care about if people don't contribute at all but I'm just telling that they won't have the ability to wait me for fixing stuff now. People are complaining because they have not enough skill to fix anything ? Not my problem if they dont report anything it mean that they don't see any problem. No crash at all so I have nothing to fix that's perfect. You don't need a phd to notice a crash and report it. I don't see why an admin of a server don't report crash when its good for them if I fix it.

Reality here is i m free.
Im free to commit or not to commit if I want.
Im free to stop or continue.
Im free to sell my code if I want. even if I don't care about earn something from opennos
OpenNos is opensource yes but I'm free to do whatever I want from my hands.
Its quite strange that people are complaining because of my message. People are really finding a way to complain because I decided to stop ? So people are really thinking because my project is opensource that I own them anything ?
This project is opensource because I've decided that it will be opensource. Im free. Free to stop if I want. So stop thinking of me as your slave.
Have a nice day.
God bless all leechers.

Firstly, maybe the reason people don't report bugs is because you guys flamed them for the bugs already being known ??
half of the issues on there i don't even have a clue what it is. As i'm sure many other people don't.

Nobody is saying that you need to continue or not and nobody is "thinking of you as their slave" it's just your whole attitude that is the problem. You're being so arrogant

and lastly, you've been working on RAIDS that you need XML TO WORK. HOW CAN PEOPLE REPORT SUCH THINGS IF YOU DONT EVEN LET THEM GET RAIDS WORKING? LOL

I asked before how to make your own XML and you didn't reply. Unlike packet.txt, you told everybody to get packets, walk around nostale, open every shop etc. You gave instructions how to do it, how tf someone is suppose to make a xml if you don't give any information on this ? I looked at the xml for ts.1 and it seemed pretty hard to make for someone who isn't code smart like me. So don't act like you weren't forcing people to pay for a big part of the emulator.

This is honestly just stupid.

I'm with you on this, me and my irl friends (about 5 of us) played the "test" server at the start of the year, I know for a fact I and a bunch of them would have supported with donations and finding bugs, but tbh we didn't even last a month because we saw the way Ciapa and MasterDomino was treating the people reporting bugs, etc. So we stopped playing. However, it seems the money from that server isn't even funding this project when that was the whole purpose of the server to begin with.

But yes, i'm sure many other people see the way they treat people in this community and decide to stop helping too.

Looked into the ts1 XML for a few minutes and it doesnt look to hard tbh...
Only thing I'm not finding there is an option to define mob/npc spawning location (maybe you can simply specify their position with PositionX and PositionY, dunno.)

I mean its not cryptic or smth.. Its mostly defined with easy to understand english variables~
You know exactly what each part and variable does by just reading it D:

Maybe so, but not all timespaces are as easy as ts 1.
What happens when you need special NPCS and such ?

Yes that's exactly how it works.

the only way to make the xml is to understand how the raid is done and define it by hand. Packet txt can be get by just sniffing packet where xml need to be written by hand like ts1.xml. If we sell it its in order to motivate us to make other xml when we don't care about others. On my own creating another xml for exemple is just a list of time cause it take times and there is nothing to get from it(it won't change anything to the development). Its exactly like packet.txt on my own I only use a slim packet.txt for development because I don't need every map every monster I could have decide to sell a real packet.txt that will motivate me to get all Packets even if I don't need them to develope. Here it's exactly the same the only difference is that raid isn't automatic you need to go to official server or use video of raids and add summoning monsters summoning portal add action to portals where you see them on the video. If you open ts1.xml you have the base structure of all ts on my own I only have the first ts and I won't do any other else but its quite simple to understand (I think) and the only people who asked me about defining ts or raid were helped (only 1 person decided to open the xml and tried to make his own raid) but I only can help people who understand that the only way to get a raid xml or a ts xml is to write in by hand. So the only 2 things I could have answer :

- could you list every keyword of xml : yes if I Have time but it can be viewed in the scripted Map instance class (search for "ondeath")

- I have an error with my xml that is like that ..... : adapted answer

raid and ts opposite to everything else are just "description" advantage is that you can make new raids if you want to just by deciding it. About 3 month ago I decided to stop private development since then im the only one to continue only publicly and everyone is still talking about opennos public server and asking me for private things. I don't know for you but seriously if you work hard somewhere and if someone who didn't gave you anything came to ask you to get him someone else job and just don't care about yours I'm quite sure it will demotivate you. I didn't flame anyone on github issue when it was issues. The only people that are flame are people who reporting things like

-hey how do I install opennos
-hey i cant connect I lost my password
-private development issue that aren't on github version

Issue that are already in the list are just closed without message or linked to the original issue.

EDIT:

Due to a conflict between the different members of the team, opennos will no longer be represented by its team. The goal system is therefore canceled. My cuby raid test version has been added and will be the only one to be delivered. Bugs of any kind will not be repaired by the team. Every member of this community is free to fix or not to fix what he want.

I understood from the beginning that the only way to make it is by writing by hand, the problem i had is when it comes to raids like glacerus/draco where everything happens randomly, how do you put that in the xml ? or timespaces where special things happen such as npcs etc.

You kinda need packet.txt fully to find any bugs in the emulator at it's full potential, like if mobs don't move, how can you know if theres any bugs related to that. If not everyone has xml made, then how can you find such bugs? when all you are committing is raid related?

I know before when bugs were a lot more simple, there was 100+ issues each time.

It does not work the cuby raid I copied paste the script into "ScriptedInstance" and its crash solution? Please? there is another one chose to do?
03/11/2018 12:52 malkwitz70#44
Just look up for my thread, i rewrote the cuby raid so it wont crash..
03/11/2018 13:34 adrienmarine081213#45
Ok I test, you just have to copy the script and put in ScriptedInstance?
