Purchase star level for e*gold

That's how the system works. It judges you by facts; that's the only comprehensible and reliable way + I don't think you write 30k posts full of bullshit without being banned or infracted. And like Saaja said: Buying exp isn't fair either.

I mean just check out how many posts people have there, or in Funny Pics, Food Porn,...

Considering my first account with 36k posts, 20k of them came from the off topic and premium area. And I didnt get banned for it.

Ok, so you are telling me that users should buy e*Gold for real money only to put it back into the "Bank" and get no equivalent of the money spent back. The star level is just an icon, some cosmetic points but it doesn't correlate to the real money you spent.

All in all only Elitepvpers will benefit from this as this will give them an option to remove some e*Gold from the circulation and counteract the current inflation of it.

MrSh!tty, you specially refer to "user then have to buy new egold" so this could be seen as a move to get users to spend more money again but actually this is a rather douchy move. Yeah there are people willing to spend some e*Gold on it but why not make the star system meaningful first so the user has a real return for the money/e*Gold spent. Like the higher your level is you get more PM space or whatever...just some incentive.

So whats the issue with writing in these topics? The level is like leveling up in an MMO, it gets harder the higher you get. Even if you just talk in Off Topic forums you are still actively participating in the community and this gets rewarded with a few stars which have no worth at all.

The issue is that you are talking about worth. Only with your current suggestion you will give the system some actual worth and not just some imaginary worth. Right now the system is not connected to any worth of an account and that is good.

Yes, but 30k posts are 30k posts, seen from a impartial point of view. 30€ are 30€, no matter how the bills look or how you earned them. It's worth the same.

Yeah, even in the post you linked, I never said that they should buy egold from the system to put in back into the bank. People could do this if they want to, but that wasn't my intention.

Taking myself as an example. I got 766 egold left free, which I would rather spend to buy some points for the star level instead of exchanging it into what? 4€? So my answer to your "why?" is quite simple.

You have the possibility to support and help elitepvpers. The more egold flows back to epvp, the more egold has to be bought from the system. And it's completely irrelevant why user would buy that new egold. Maybe to get prem? Deal at the black market or, or, or.

So why shouldn't we support elitepvpers in getting a little more money? The team is doing a great job just to give all of us a board so we can do all the stuff were already doing. Getting a little more money would also help to have some nicer features for the future.

You got me wrong. First putting it back into the system (which in a way is a Bank as Elitepvpers is the owner) and then buy more. I haven't studied economics or something of the likes but I am fairly sure this is artificial deflation.

That is your opinion which is totally fine. Speaking for myself I would rather sit on the 766 e*Gold or just buy something little from the Black Market.

Why should the 0815 user with some e*Gold care about supporting elitepvpers. I feel like you are projecting your staff status into this, all I read is support elitepvpers, more money and such. I could be wrong but there is still no answer what users will get back for the e*Gold spent. Supporting Elitepvpers? More features some way in the future? Some meaningless star points? Don't get me wrong but this is ridiculous.

The idea can be extended at any time. I would also like this idea of getting something in return for the higher rank. Everyone can make a suggestion in making this idea better than it is at this time.

It's a good idea but in my opinion we need the star level to be important, what about changing your color name according to your star level ?

Golden/Yellow is Global Mod, Blue is Premium, Purple is Level 2, Pink is Level 3, etc.

New name colors will just be more confusing.

I think that is really a good idea, personally i really care about my little star (i think that's cute >o<).
And we aren't obliged to pay e*gold, and even somebody would pay e*g for leveling his little star, isn't that more great for Epvp ?

That means Epvp is a forum where they really care about and love (and i really love and care about Epvp, and always spend a lot of times on Epvp), and little +, that would bring some money for Epvp.
