lol, I am willing to help scripting and stuff, but realize its a whole lot of work...
some "short" things that need to be done;

*crack the packet system
*find the way the npc's are made
*find the rest of the server structure....

guys, a private server means +1 drops are one in every 10

It will be the same as a normal CO server but with a few additions

like buy dbs from npc and stuff.

I think we will need an anti bot thing aswell to stop bjxers (although its all well and good) if we didnt have it think of the economy, its like every other game, its great, then you cheat, it gets better for a while but you get board really quick..

The server cant be like, buy mets from npc for 1k!

I say we make a server where everyone is ubelievably powerful, guild war and pk tourny daily... a server where we don't gotta waste our life to get powerful.

heh have a 24/7 guild war with a supergem pk tourny every 3 days :)

Just how many private server projects are there? I know there's one in a very early stage that you can join and jump around and chat etc.. but that's about all you can do on there so far. The one you guys are talking about doesn't seem to be the same one that i've seen however. Any way we can clarify just what is out there and how far they are progressing?

I've played a ton of private servers, and a Private CO server would rock!

Since CO is a pvp based game, why not make a high exp rate, like x10? An uber high drop rate would suck, I think x5 it's current rate would be good, MAYBE x10. We don't want to completly gimp the server.

But no matter the rates and such, I'll play. You guys would prolly do more than the GM's anyways, which still isn't saying much, lol.

And yea, An anti-cheat tool would be cool. I don't use any CO hacks, I just like to stay updated on what's all being released, and obviously a good thing too, Especially if the outcome is a private server without having to grind for hours to gain a lvl.

Well the private server that someone posted was talking about is real, and bad ass... I loged on it last night with bobble, she although crashed it sending and invalid command. Once I get permission from the team I'll post there site, or the modded .dat for all here to see.
