Good step, Joymax!

You players should definetely give a try to the new server. The local jmx management changed little bit, that means the content will do too. JCPlanet is very close to JMX recent months and I hope that they won't fail it.

The channeling they mention is difference. PMang channeling on korean version base on login-only method to the korean gaming network. JCPlanet is different - it will most likely contribute to the development with new features. Also, in case the servers are down, faster response will be taken.

The VIP idea is not that bad if you start with new server. It gives chances to everybody to get fresh start.

How sure are you about the 30$ part itsune? Because afaik I remember the table of sro-r's vip system it was indeed something like 300$~ for vip2 status.

Might be interesting then, however that 20% damage and 10% damage increase looks so overpowered for a cap 90 server. Damn.

Yeah, but I doubt many will ever reach that level of VIP status, as you need to buy for more than $500 per month (5k silk) to get it. So yeah :p

And besides, we're talking about maximum 10 people who can get it. So yes, those 10 people will be stronger, but for the rest of us, it won't matter too much - luckily :)

Too late, poorly executed. Even after finally listening to players and opening an old school server, they fuck up putting more pay2win features on top of an already pay2win game, its just sad. There were p-servers with better setup and features hosted on Europe. And its funny that they say they place the limitation of exp/day to prevempt bots, while they themselves already added a bot built-in on the game (SRO-Macro).

This is just a joke, a way to play with our nostalgia to milk as much money as possible for a game that has been dead for a few years already. I wish SRO was created and published by any other company.

So you can extend the time you get EXP by increasing your VIP level i'm pretty sure there will be an item for silk that increases it again

When you think about it, it's actually not all bad.

Right now, some people run 24 bots in Silkroad-R, which is just ridiculous. With this system, they'll have to pay $10 per month per character to get 6 hours of exp per day, and $30 per character per month if they want to get exp for 24 hours per day.

i was kinda hyped when i saw their announcment but honestly their pay2win system is beyond stupid. getting kicked after 2 hours without spending money is simply retarded.

i hate this exp restriction in generel but i will probably try it out without spending money (for some reason i hope for a change).

Just consider the server a vip private server. Where it costs $10 to play per month.

And they then just provide you the option to play a few hours per day for free too (which is enough time for most people anyway, who have jobs and/or school too). I mean, you don't have to not, you know :)
