I'm beginning to think you guys never change the /locale:<LOCALEID> /Country:<COUNTRYKEY> in the start.bat

Doesn't matter if I put in ASCII and US or Windows-1256 and DE...still get same error

You are using glandu2s auth emulator?

I haven't even changed my auth database or tables since I created my first 7.4 server I just keep using the same one for each epic and have ran into no issues still using the same account.

Since you are creating a new account in a new account table have you created data entries in all of the necessary fields?

Reread <Final Steps> and <Step One, bullet 7>.
Be sure to hash your password with the salt, so "mypassword" must be hashed as "2011mypassword" if your salt is "2011". Then put the result in the password column in your database.

Important! Missing information has been added to step four, proper local_flag usage has been clarified and should help to resolve any oddities you may be experiencing with content. Such as invisible npc, or quest icons showing with no npc under them and even not being able to enter secret dungeons!

The gameserver.opt example has also been updated to reflect more settings, feel free to update your templates with it!

If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I've followed the steps line by line, got the servers running, but can't log in. I've opened the ports in my firewall. In MSSMS I added username and password (hashed with the salt located in the common.opt file) in the appropriate columns. I can open rappelz just fine (downloaded official and inserted .bat file and rappelzcmdlauncher etc). However when I enter the username and password to log in I get an error to check my username and password, Authentication error 18. I've hit a wall and keep butting my head against it. I know I'm probably missing something super easy, which tends to be the easiest things to overlook.

Make sure to remember passwords ARE CASE-SENSITIVE. Not sure if that will help you, but when I first had the msg 18 it's what helped me.
