Calling BS on this. I've used the .CT file method effectively on all browsers with no need to clear cache, since it has been released.
I highly suspect you're using the .SWF method and not clearing cache for this to happen.

No need. It still works fine. I did have an issue where one of the two lines (the line that shows the path of the coloured ball to the pocket) wasn't extended. Resetting the browser and reloading the .CT file sorted this problem out.
Bottom line, it still works very well. My preferred method to use. I play a lot of hours and have never had any problems and never had my coins wiped.
I prefer Firefox and the charslan1 .CT file posted on page 4 of this thread. I edit the Long Line script to 199, as the 99 doesn't reach close enough to the pockets on long shots.
That setup works like a dream.
Using .SWF these days is asking for trouble. I mean you still can with Chrome and the cache clearing method, but if you forget or do it slightly wrong you can lose everything.
