Tried all of the posted above methods, nothing worked. I first though it might be os related, then I tried 6 different versions of firefox and a few different types of IE. I always end up with "game is currently running". If anyone figures out a way around theirs, please pm me or post for all.

i got an idea, use a program wich will let u run a second windows version, cant remember how its called, but that will solve the problem for 99% sure..

I use VMware Workstation and it does work but I would love to get to 2 copies of the game running without VMware.

OMG! Start Firefox login with ur account and start game if ur in the game go back to firefox login with ur another account and start game again...

I HAVE IT NOW =)
you have to start 2nd al when you see the gameguard symbol on the desktop
or if you have win vista or 7 start the game 2 times very fast 1 with internet explorer and 1 with firefox
than you will get a security message from windows. this will ask you if you really want to start the game
of course you say yes^^ but just with one of this messages
than click on the start button of the al phatch client
when you see the gameguard starting on your desktop you accept the second security mesage of windows and than a second al patch cliend sould be seen
and now you wont get any more problems
if it work like this just tell it to me with saying thanks =)
and sorry for my english if you want ill write it again in german ;)
