When I start up the client it says some weird unreadable error and then it says cannot find dinput8.dll. Help?

Please do not take this as criticism or a call for you to stop your work but you are doing the same thing by modding the client that devcat produces. They use hackshield and themida and more technologies to make it obvious that they do not want their client to be modified yet you do it against their wishes and people thank you for it.Quote:
There's your problem. You're being a little bitch and not caring about what mod makers don't want you to do with their mods.
Mine does not have the capability of ruining another persons gaming experience, nor does it have the capability of ruining the market. May I remind everyone of the first pake outbreak when 90% of the players were too scared to even log in, or didn't want to waste their time due to fear of rollbacks? A lot of players that did log in and didn't take proper precautions, likely due to lack of information, still cannot play due to blackrobing.Quote:

Really? You mean themida was put into place to specifically target pake? Oh come on... Don't be ridiculous. Firstly it was the elimination of mint.dll and pleione.dll that killed pake. The themida integrity check was just an added overkill. Secondly, the integrity check would kill anything that modifies the client's code section. This is why theprofessor at mabimods made that "A challenge to the community" thread asking someone to come up with a themida integrity check bypass so a patcher can be possible.Quote:
Themida was put in to stop pake, which it did for quite a while from the public.
You really hope that themida integrity check is still around don't you. So that alisafix would have to rely on abyss to work? ummm...I acutally found a way to bypass that integrity check a year ago...yea..It's just that when I wrote alissafix abyss already has the bypass built in...how convenient...:oQuote:
Also, the way Themida is right now is trivial to bypass since all it does is unpack the Client on run time; the Themida CRC is gone. Technically there's nothing to even bypass meaning Themida does not prevent modding.
then why did you break it so that alissafix is possible???:D:D:DQuote:

Pretty much everything you want is gone as far as I know. This is not a troll post, I'm being serious.Quote:
im sorry dude i am not trying too fight... i have played this game now for like 4 or 5 years now and love mabi... i do not want too ruin it or even try too get ban... but i have 2 kids now and a full time job... i dont really have time too do a bunch of stuff on here i would like too do... so i see people like you on the game that has everything and all dyed up and i want it. lol i just want the teleport code thing really from bangor too emain... my laptop sucks and i skip bad and never see the bandits till they are on me... or just show up out of no where on me... and the bandit badge dupe would be nice... lol and the special upgrade in 6 tries would be nice... those things are expensive... any help tho would be nice.. i still cant get it too work with out your stuff... so it dont matter but i do got too say since i got ur mods my lag died alot... and thanks...
Eh. 1 year, actually. Semi-public teleports, sure. That would be around 2 years ago.Quote:
Basically this. "Teleports" were fixed about two years ago I believe
The first pake outbreak? The first pake outbreak where a large number of people were using it was the Good Stuff leak, and I don't recall anyone fearing to login at that time. In fact, they just leveled using 100% aiming.Quote:

I understand what you're saying; however, this software is destructive. Given, most destructive things are patched, but there will always be people finding new ways and (possibly) leaking them.

Technically there's nothing to even bypass meaning Themida does not prevent modding. Themida was put in to stop pake, which it did for quite a while from the public. It was possibly even used because of the size of the unpacked Client is extremely large due to the fact they merged all the dll's into it.
tl;dr: Abyss cannot ruin other peoples game play.

That is inconsistent with my experience tho. I did get banned on some accounts. But that was because I did something stupid and defnitely not within 8 hours. Maybe they've added some new detection system very recently. Who knows.Quote:
Also, you needn't worry about pake, since any hacks involving gold or items will get the person and all associated accounts banned within 8 hours. (I do know this for a fact, seeing as I've been testing for the last 2 weeks.)

Also, mind telling me what you tested in PM?:D I am curious.
