DDos Protected VPS for my c# server? anyone knows

Nothing you said was smart, your suggesting that because your being attacked you should have a rubbish VPS and then upgrade once the attack stops, why? You need the good server regardless of if your getting attacked or not and switching everytime an attack starts or stops is needless downtime, not to mention hosts really dislike you trying to down/upgrade your contract nevermind doing it every few weeks depending on when you are attacked.

What you said was stupid, not smart, you'll end up spending more money through doing this (due to contract cancellations) than you'll save.

Changing contracts with the same host still costs quite alot of money, its pointless, like I said you need the good server regardless, having a rubbish server which you will need to upgrade anyway just because your being attacked is a waste of time, your might aswell just not host a server if your going to muck around like this.

Look at the dedicated server on Staminus.

oh, i see you already found it.

They host some popular mc-server (1000+ players, daily ddos attacks etc) and do quite well but a 30GB is more than capable of taking them off, so i dont know there limit.

A way to still keep your server online even if heavely under attack you can use a trick we(Trinity's owner and me) some time ago...

If you have two or more IPs, when being attacked you can null route the IP and still use the other IPs to be able to connect to the server. Obviously you'd have to keep the website down or w/e so the attacker believes you're down, but your server would run just fine.

To be able to switch between the IPs without releasing yet another patch to the players you can use a dns trick. No-ip would be a good solution. You would have a host like idontcareifyouattackme.zapto.org and if your first ip is down you just change the ip for that host and you're set.

The downside with this is that the players that were online with the first ip that got null routed would be disconnected or left waiting like the server is heavily lagging.
